Aeryn Pfaff II is a versatile Toronto based DJ with roots in the queer techno scene. "I play clubs, warehouses, festivals, patios, drag shows, disco, techno, house, breaks, dnb, jersey club, baile funk, vogue house, rave, ambient sets at the weed dispensary — I like everything," he says. "DJing has taken me all over North America, and 10 years in I still feel like I'm just getting started." His party 2GETHER at The Black Eagle will relaunch in May, and he has more on the horizon. "I wanna bring back my indie sleaze party Lamé that I do with Sophie Jones, I've been working with Promise to figure out what Cherry Beach Festival is gonna look like this summer so that's really exciting, and I wanna start an Italo Disco party soon too. I've never fit neatly into any box and that's the way I like it.

After an 11 month break, I am so FUCKING happy to be back to one of my DJ homes for the 2023/2024 season. As one would expect from an 11 month break, the mixing is a bit suspicious lol - I huffed and puffed about posting it, but ultimately, I realized: we at La Cabane are Human Beings, and human error is sexy. 

That being said:

The mixing might be a bit of a dodgy bit of rustiness, but the PROGRAMMING is super tight, if I do say soooooooooo......

Hiii, Octo Octa here! I'm sharing a new mix series I'm doing under the name "Groovy Girl" and the first entry is "Bang The Drum" <3 

It is a house and acid percussive groover of a mix that will hopefully have you raving where ever you are. Mixed on two Technics 1210 M5Gs and a Pioneer A9 Mixer, plus some overdubs on the recording. 

This release is a Mix CD tracked so you can jump back over and over to your favorite part. The CD insert has photos of all of the records I used for the mix in order.

I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed making it. Can't wait to get started on the next in the series!!
