Was yesterday's track, "Kevlar (Bulletproof)" too dark for some of you?  I hope not--Interbay stuff tends to skew a bit dark...but, not always.  (Still, if you haven't, give "Kevlar..." a listen.  You might like it.  I think it is one of the better Interbay post-punk rock tracks.  

Today, is definitely not dark.  It's festive!  It's got horns!  It's got horny vibes!  It's a groove!

This was, at first, an exercise in creating some realistic disco drums that didn't sound like they were machine driven.  Then, it became about how I could add some horns to the drums.  

Then, I added two concurrent basslines--in one channel, you'll hear a synth bass...on the other channel, you're hear a funky slap bass.  That's the plan, anyway.    

Add to that a cheeky female rapper, a deep male spoken vocalist, and some breathy come ons...and you have, probably, the most opposite thing possible to a dark post-punk rock song...

...and yet, it's ALL Interbay!  

(I get a little bit of an OMD Junk Culture-era vibe from the horns.  Oh, did I say there are two different kinds of horns, often happening at the same time...like the bass?  Yep.  Why do something once when you can do the same thing in two different ways at the same time?  Don't answer that--it was rhetorical and self-deprecating.)  

All I can ask is that you give it a listen...perhaps a like, a share, a repost, a playlisting, a comment...and I hope you follow this page for more, because tomorrow will present you with something entirely different again.  (In fact, EVERY SINGLE DAY (so far--for over a year) there's new Interbay to discover!)
