10 years of love on the dance floor!

High Hoops presents a compilation of electronic tracks from artists across the globe to celebrate 10 years of ‘love on the dance floor’ and to raise funds for three amazing charities.

Proceeds from this compilation will be shared with the LGBT Foundation, Mermaids and Meningitis now, in memory of our friends Ash, Alex T and Willow.

A huge thank you to all of our friends and artists that have contributed their time and energy in supporting the creation of this incredible album of music.

We would like to thank Yant for mastering this compilation, Ellie Kennedy for the artwork and Manchester Electronic Fund for its support.

The LGBT Foundation is a national charity with LGBTQ+ health and wellbeing at the heart of everything they do. They celebrate and empower LGBTQ+ individuals and diverse communities to realise their full potential, every day.

Mermaids is a charity that supports trans, non-binary and gender-diverse children, young people and their families since 1995.

Meningitis Now is a UK charity dedicated to fighting meningitis through support, awareness, and research.

Deep in the sweat-slicked shadows of a subterranean circuit party, a congregation of scantily dressed masc queens writhe to the rhythm of a commanding voice cracking through the air. Drawn together by a pulsing energy, their bodies instinctively move toward an iridescent orb floating mid-air, glowing hotter with every beat.

Hypnotic and divine, it repeats, “Gonna make you sweat”
The queens begin to drip. The rising heat wrings every pore, and the floor beneath them turns slick with luminous sweat. The Orb feeds on the heat and euphoria, pulsing as it begins its descent. Slowly, it dips into the shimmering sea of sweat it has summoned and begins to churn.

Swirling 🌀 Swishing 🌊 Shaking 😵‍💫

The liquid spins into a vast vortex that snakes through the cavernous party space, encircling the queens. The whirlpool rushes around them roaring and elemental, but never knocks them from their feet. And then within the spiral a figure begins to form. 

Towering 👢 Dripping 💧Divine 👄

The dancers freeze, entranced as the vortex tightens and out steps a magnificent being, 7 feet tall and gleaming with beauty and power. A deity born of sweat and bassline, Muscle Mary was born.

Plastic GRN channels that classic 90s Xpander sound, Alfred Czital drops a dance floor annihilator, while Dutch duo Match Box keeps it as bright and club-ready as ever. Manchester-based Aiden Francis is at the forefront of the current prog house sound. His new EP cements that position with four more immersive club cuts doused in melody and subtle euphoria as well as hints of old school rave. 'Circuit Kween' is a punch one to start the harks back to classic Sasha & Digweed, 'Kompackt' hits its stride with an urgent low end and snappy finger clicks, 'Twizted' has a warped baseline and dark energy and 'Hex Klub' shuts down with more zoned out and trance infused feels with plenty of colour.
