A song I wrote with my dear friend Orla in mind and memories of our teenage years and the great times we had. sadly Orla left this world 7 years ago and left an empty space in many people's lives...

I started this piece a few years ago, and Doina was kind enough to write some beautiful violin parts for what is quite a simple chord progression really. I didn’t have lyrics and life events overtook writing music. I picked it up recently wanting to mark that life event, and an upcoming crossroad.

My soul dangling above auction
What more to keep me burning?
Truthful ridicule
That in a crowd of a room

Brothers - who take condolences

Within a hopeful empty waste,

To trim morality
There is no border of definition

Born with no definition
Found the same way
He bares my high water-mark

Like losing friendly water
How his hands are larger in their grasp
Of an opusculum
I wouldnt force upon an Avalon
No more of masquerade

It sounds like all his troubles are the same

With absent frolic

His paces are too small
Beak is hard
I bite like beach
A brow of sand

For speleological discovery

'flyer feature' 

Was at the local grocery
when something caught my attention and annoyed me.
The frozen fruit that I bought for smoothies
had somehow gone up in price as a 'flyer featch.*'
So, while I was checking out,
I asked a girl, barely in her teens, if she, too, agreed that they were being thieves. 

She didn't know.
