This song started when Jon Lewis told me about Prince's It Always Snows in April, a much, much, much better song than this one.

But I copied the chords (actually I think he plays an F#, I accidentally played an F#m.)

Anyway, just noodling and playing after that. 

At a certain point, I thought, after the second verse, this piece needs some sort of meandering, musical bit that is wordless and let's the listener settle into and explore the song from another angle for a moment before getting back into it, and then I realized I JUST DESCRIBED A SOLO. OMG 

Since this whole project is trying to figure out what songs are, why they work a certain way and why I like them so much, that was a gigantic win, even if said solo (which I later realized was about 6 bars and would have been "better" at a traditional 8) is just about the lumpiest thing ever.

The lyrics of the first verse were in a digital note I took that says "From The Color of Pomegranates." But I don't remember these words in that movie. But yeah those are probably stolen. 

This will almost certain undergo some revision at some point.
