Die Energie und die Stimmung, die sich in kürzester Zeit im Glashaus aufgebaut hat, war unbeschreiblich.

At the age of 87, when asked about the lesson his long life had taught him, the philosopher Bertrand Russell had a simple, twofold message - one part being rational and the other moral. He advised us, who live long after his death, to consider all the facts, whether we like them or not, but above all to choose love over hate - to be tolerant and not antagonistic. In this field between facts and what we make of them, between cold logic and caring understanding, we are called to calm down, reflect and listen to our inner voice.

This EP is an invitation to do just that, be it at a festival, in nature or the comfort of our home. Warm and playful, powerful and intricate, arousing and soothing, it is a bridge between a open eyed summer dream and a vibrating dance floor; a slow melodic journey, whose fullness embraces us, while its tingling details call us on. A bouquet of remixes by Narcisse (Mex), Seyde, LVND, Jonas Fasching and Jati Div adds some check, bounce and drive to get those dreamy booties shaking.

Those chorus lines from one of the tracks in Schleichcast°51 speak for themselves, providing quite a fitting summary of the vibe this mixtape conveys. This set feels like sand between toes while licking ice-cream, like some nourishing sunscreen gently applied to soft and tanned skin, like those lighthearted days that never seem to end and when they finally do, you almost missed the darkness of the night because the sun rises so early. In other words: the perfect soundtrack for summer and a wonderful potpourri of multicolored electronica and acoustic music, around-the-world-rhythms paired with souly-jazzy tunes…and not to forget, some slow n’ smooth downtempo. Thank you so much dear @maltesar for creating this musical treat!

>>Wer bist du und woher kommst du?
Ich bin Malte, Teil des 'Kollektiv Nachtkerze', komme aus Berlin und bin zwischen Wald, Havel und Tegeler See im Berliner Norden aufgewachsen. 

>>Wie kamst du zum Auflegen?
Die natürliche Evolution des Aufwachsens in Berlin? Oft in Clubs und viele Freundschaften, die einen an die Teller stellen - wodurch ich glücklicherweise vor 9 Jahren zum Downtempo gefunden habe.

>>Was hat dich für das Set inspiriert?
Skinshape, dessen neueste Platte ich mit Spannung erwarte, die Band Jembaa Groove, die ich endlich mal live sehen muss und meine Liebe zu den Wurzeln des ganz ganz langsamen Downtempos mit vielen organischen Elementen. In diesem Set habe ich mich mal daran probiert all diese Inspirationen zusammenfließen zu lassen.

>>Shout outs! Wer ist aktuell dein:e lieblings Künstler:in?
Ich bin auf der Fusion an der Freikörperküste zu den Klängen von den Jungs von Ali Dada aufgeweckt worden. Bin früher immer mal wieder über Edits von deren Tracks gestolpert, aber habe jetzt deren Live-Sounds lieben gelernt - Shout Out geht raus. Ein gute Portion Akustik-Love geht raus an die Tracks von @itsChristianHansen.

>>Was gefällt dir besonders an "langsamer" Musik?
Sie gibt mir den Raum mich in der Musik zu verlieren, abzuschalten und mich treiben zu lassen - ohne zu überfordern. Alle Elemente eines Tracks bekommen den Platz den sie verdienen und es findet sich meist ein ganz bestimmter Schlag Mensch auf den Tanzflächen der langsamen Musik zusammen - das verbindet und geht unter die Haut.

Welcome back to the Magician On Duty Journey Series!

Magician On Duty is thrilled to welcome Adomani to our Journey Series, a Berlin-born artist whose journey into electronic music began at an early age. Immersed in the city’s vibrant soundscape, Adomani discovered his love for downtempo at the legendary 'Salon' floor of the former Rummels Bucht club—a place he fondly refers to as his “living room.”

Adomani’s sound is a unique exploration of emotional depth and energetic vibrancy. Constantly searching for a rounded, empathetic tone, he has spent the last few years experimenting with slower tempos while seamlessly infusing them with dynamic energy. This evolving sound has resonated with audiences, leading to standout performances at renowned venues and festivals, including Bucht der Träumer alongside Ferky and KaterBlau in Berlin.

Beyond his DJ sets, Adomani is deeply involved in Berlin’s creative community. As the co-founder of the Berlin-based collective Hauptgang, he plays a pivotal role in shaping the visual concepts, decoration, and organization of their events. His artistic vision extends to stage design, where he has contributed two years in a row to the immersive aesthetics of Bucht der Träumer.

Adomani’s guest mixes for collectives such as Easy Tiger and Sumpfkrüge reflect his constant return to the roots of his musical journey. His newest journey for Magician On Duty is a heartfelt homage to the tracks that sparked his passion for electronic music. While his artistic path has led him to explore various genres, this set is a love letter to his beginnings—a curated selection of cherished tracks he has always dreamed of playing in a set.

Prepare for an intimate and emotional journey as Adomani takes you back to where it all started.
