UMN (March of the Penguins) is Arthur King's improvised composition and performance inspired by Luc Jacquet’s “March of the Penguins,” recorded live at AKP Recordings on November 9, 2022. The musical ensemble that evening was David Ralicke (horns, electronics), Koool G Murder (double bass), Laura Escudé (violin), Mia Doi Todd (drums/vocals), and Peter Walker (guitar/electronics). The film selector for the event was Sam Johnson, and the resulting performance was mixed to immersive digital formats and quadraphonic cassette by Peter Walker and KamranV.

UMN (Unknown Movie Night) is a recurring series of live, improvised film-scoring events where the selected film is unknown to both audience and band until it begins. Discerning film selectors and a rotating cast of guest musicians join Arthur King in making each event unique, taking participants on a journey into the unknown.
