Christina has artfully crafted a musical journey that resonates on an international scale. In 2019, Forty Cats etched her name into progressive house history with the debut EP, "Highway," released on Lane 8's prestigious This Never Happened label. The onset of her musical odyssey paved the way for a transformative shift in sound, as evidenced by subsequent releases on prominent labels such as Sudbeat, Mango Alley, Soundgarden, and PlattenBank. Esteemed luminaries in the industry, including Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy J, D-Nox, Lane 8, and Above & Beyond, have ardently championed her work, solidifying her status as a true baller in the genre.

In 2022, Forty Cats joined the prestigious LDN artist agency from London, UK, a testament to her growing influence. The subsequent year Forty Cats extended her sonic reach globally with spellbinding performances in Sri Lanka, India, Thailand, and Armenia. The year 2023 marked her debut tour in Argentina, amplifying her presence on the international stage. As of today, Christina continues to enrapture her audience with a steady stream of releases, compelling EPs, and mesmerizing remixes, all while creating an enduring legacy in the ever-evolving world of electronic music. Com apenas 26 anos, ele já ostenta uma invejável experiência artística de mais de uma década, marcada por apresentações em eventos renomados como D-Edge Tour, 909 Movement, Inferninho Baiano e Sollares, este último um dos maiores eventos de música eletrônica da região norte/nordeste do Brasil.
Sua jornada com a música começou cedo, influenciada pela atmosfera festiva das raves e eventos frequentados por sua mãe em Salvador e outras partes da Bahia. Essa imersão precoce na música eletrônica moldou sua paixão pelo som e o levou a explorar sua própria expressão artística.

Luan Pugliesi, the talented DJ and music producer from Salvador, emerges as one of the most promising figures in the Brazilian electronic scene. At only 26 years old, he already boasts an enviable artistic experience of over a decade, marked by performances at renowned events such as the D-Edge Tour, 909 Movement, Inferninho Baiano, and Sollares, the latter being one of the largest electronic music events in the northern/northeastern region of Brazil.

Chris Cargo lands on JourneyDeep Records for their 100th release.

Irish long serving DJ and producer Chris Cargo, is a veteran of the underground scene, he started his production career in the late 90s, and has been at the forefront within the electronic music scene ever since. His music has graced Renaissance, Automatic Records, Whoop, Armada Music, Configurations Of Self and onedotsixtwo, amongst many more.

He delivers two originals here, booth oozing of confidence and quality, as you'd expect. Starting with Dawntreader, a hypnotic and deep workout, with subtle warmth looming, over its trippy soundsacpe, full of drive and dramatic flavours.

Next up its 'Distant Mellow, and as the title suggests, an understated sophistication locks you in to its spell, as the blippy melodic patterns merge and melt wonderfully, with a chunky and hazy wash of goodness.

ABOUT OTTAWA PROG VIBES

Alain M.'s weekly podcast, Ottawa Prog Vibes, is now in its 7th year and is a recognized presence among Canadian Electronica shows. The show has two goals: showcase progressive DJ's from Ottawa (and Canada) to a global audience, and bring international DJ guests to an Ottawa (and Canadian) audience). 

Alain plays three out of every 10 shows. His mixing has been noted as particularly creative and smooth, a skill that allow his sets to be experienced as seamless stories.

An offshoot series, called Mellow Prog Vibes, is released every two weeks and focuses on more chill vibes, slightly more downtempo, to create a more relaxed vibe. It is curated by OPV resident DJ Boraa, who plays every other episode, with guest DJs playing the alternate.

Ottawa Prog Vibes and Mellow Prog Vibes are broadcast weekly on UK's Saturo Radio, New York's Chill Lover Radio and Ottawa's Blast the Radio.


ABOUT ALAIN M.

Alain M. started dj’ing in his early 20s and played a variety of clubs, big and small, in Ottawa, Montreal and Kingston. From teenage influences in progressive rock, metal and blues, and later New York and Chicago house, Dutch techno and early trance, his style has evolved towards the more melodic, infectiously rhythmic and thoughtful sounds of progressive house, with a particular fondness for Argentinian productions.

Over his 30+ years as a DJ, Alain has cultivated a signature melodic, danceable, and thoughtful style with enough surprises to keep even the most devout listeners on their toes. His live events, organized only a few times annually, are a hypotonic, transformational experience for attendees, putting the Nation’s Capital on the map for electronic music. He has organized and collaborated in a number of events including Levitar, Sunday Meet & Beat, Sit-Down Sessions, Shake my Thursday and Expeditions, attracting a thoughtful crowd who stay mesmerized by his melodic, danceable sets, always peppered with delightfully unexpected sonic elements.

Alain M. is also a guest DJ submitting regular sets to several radio and online outlets. He is a resident on X-Beat Radio (France, Belgium). He was a monthly resident on Abyss Sound Experience on QuestLondon Radio in 2021 and on UK-based Beach Radio between 2021 and 2024.

He has appeared as a guest on a number of shows in several countries including the UK, Argentina, Spain, Poland, Brazil, Sri Lanka, Peru, Turkey, Israel and the US. In Canada, he has been featured as a guest DJ at several events by Ottawa-based Music.Art.Ppl, on CHUO FM’s Vanguard Pulse Radio, on CKCU FM’s Lost In Bass and Mapped Out Radio, on Montreal’s Afterhour radio show and on Toronto’s ION radio show.
