⏯️ *Phil* began his DJ career in 1990 - soon becoming a household name in the South West, holding residencies at the 2,000 capacity Plymouth Warehouse with Cultural Vibes and later Screem. Playing across the UK throughout the 90s at venues such as Club UK (London), The Gardening Club (London), Home (Manchester), and Lakota (Bristol), to name just a few, and also in Europe, including the huge 1994 Universe Tribal Gathering event in Munich. 
He’s shared line ups with some of the best DJs in the World, and has warmed up for Sasha and John Digweed a number of times, most notably on the final night of their Northern Exposure album tour. Also dipping into production, he had several releases on the local Urban Collective label, as well as remixing tracks for labels such as Whoop!, Limbo and DMC.

His journey into Trance and House music began in 2009 when he took his first steps as a DJ. By 2011, Bert was showcasing his talent in clubs and bars both in the Netherlands and internationally. 
Bert Voorman known for his passion and dedication to music, has been a prominent figure in the Trance and Progressive House music scene for over a decade. For over a decade, he has been a staple on various radio stations around the world, delivering weekly sets that captivate listeners. Now continuing his legacy in the music scene by pushing the boundaries to blend Melodic and Progressive House elements in unique ways. After growing up on a steady diet of everything from Indian and western classical music, through to disco, hip hop, reggae, 1980s electronic pop and even heavy metal, Rajesh Deshpande first became involved with electronic dance music in the late 1990s. Initially gravitating towards the intense rhythms and chest-pounding basslines of jungle and drum and bass, his first forays into music production were made alongside his brother. Releasing and touring under the Vice Versa' moniker and thanks to the support from local Sydney DJs and underground radio stations, the duo managed to catch the attention of legendary drum and bass figures LTJ Bukem and Conrad. This led to a string of high profile releases on Bukem's seminal label 'Good Looking Records' (amongst others), as well as residencies in most of Sydney's major dance music venues. After a hiatus, Rajesh has rediscovered his love for music production and DJing in recent years. Always open-minded and keen to explore new territory, he found a new muse and appreciation for the moods and grooves of house music. The resulting 'Miraj (AU)' project has been met with solid support from taste-making underground artists and DJs within Australia and across the world. With releases on several labels including Melbourne's very own Valiant Records, Celestial Recordings (UK), EmbarrassedArts (UK) and Expmental (France) as well as regular appearances on playlists from the likes of Dilby (Poker Flat, 8bit, Crosstown Rebels), Graziano Raffa (Sudbeat), Marsh (Anjunadeep), Robyn Balliet, Gorge, and Steve Kelley, Rajesh continues to forge ahead with his own interpretation of the deep house genre.

ABOUT OTTAWA PROG VIBES

Alain M.'s weekly podcast, Ottawa Prog Vibes, is now in its 7th year and is a recognized presence among Canadian Electronica shows. The show has two goals: showcase progressive DJ's from Ottawa (and Canada) to a global audience, and bring international DJ guests to an Ottawa (and Canadian) audience). 

Alain plays three out of every 10 shows. His mixing has been noted as particularly creative and smooth, a skill that allow his sets to be experienced as seamless stories.

An offshoot series, called Mellow Prog Vibes, is released every two weeks and focuses on more chill vibes, slightly more downtempo, to create a more relaxed vibe. It is curated by OPV resident DJ Boraa, who plays every other episode, with guest DJs playing the alternate.

Ottawa Prog Vibes and Mellow Prog Vibes are broadcast weekly on UK's Saturo Radio, New York's Chill Lover Radio and Ottawa's Blast the Radio.


ABOUT ALAIN M.

Alain M. started dj’ing in his early 20s and played a variety of clubs, big and small, in Ottawa, Montreal and Kingston. From teenage influences in progressive rock, metal and blues, and later New York and Chicago house, Dutch techno and early trance, his style has evolved towards the more melodic, infectiously rhythmic and thoughtful sounds of progressive house, with a particular fondness for Argentinian productions.

Over his 30+ years as a DJ, Alain has cultivated a signature melodic, danceable, and thoughtful style with enough surprises to keep even the most devout listeners on their toes. His live events, organized only a few times annually, are a hypotonic, transformational experience for attendees, putting the Nation’s Capital on the map for electronic music. He has organized and collaborated in a number of events including Levitar, Sunday Meet & Beat, Sit-Down Sessions, Shake my Thursday and Expeditions, attracting a thoughtful crowd who stay mesmerized by his melodic, danceable sets, always peppered with delightfully unexpected sonic elements.

Alain M. is also a guest DJ submitting regular sets to several radio and online outlets. He is a resident on X-Beat Radio (France, Belgium). He was a monthly resident on Abyss Sound Experience on QuestLondon Radio in 2021 and on UK-based Beach Radio between 2021 and 2024.

He has appeared as a guest on a number of shows in several countries including the UK, Argentina, Spain, Poland, Brazil, Sri Lanka, Peru, Turkey, Israel and the US. In Canada, he has been featured as a guest DJ at several events by Ottawa-based Music.Art.Ppl, on CHUO FM’s Vanguard Pulse Radio, on CKCU FM’s Lost In Bass and Mapped Out Radio, on Montreal’s Afterhour radio show and on Toronto’s ION radio show.
