ABOUT OTTAWA PROG VIBES

Alain M.'s weekly podcast, Ottawa Prog Vibes, is now in its 7th year and is a recognized presence among Canadian Electronica shows. The show has two goals: showcase progressive DJ's from Ottawa (and Canada) to a global audience, and bring international DJ guests to an Ottawa (and Canadian) audience). 

Alain plays three out of every 10 shows. His mixing has been noted as particularly creative and smooth, a skill that allow his sets to be experienced as seamless stories.

An offshoot series, called Mellow Prog Vibes, is released every two weeks and focuses on more chill vibes, slightly more downtempo, to create a more relaxed vibe. It is curated by OPV resident DJ Boraa, who plays every other episode, with guest DJs playing the alternate.

Ottawa Prog Vibes and Mellow Prog Vibes are broadcast weekly on UK's Saturo Radio, New York's Chill Lover Radio and Ottawa's Blast the Radio.


ABOUT ALAIN M.

Alain M. started dj’ing in his early 20s and played a variety of clubs, big and small, in Ottawa, Montreal and Kingston. From teenage influences in progressive rock, metal and blues, and later New York and Chicago house, Dutch techno and early trance, his style has evolved towards the more melodic, infectiously rhythmic and thoughtful sounds of progressive house, with a particular fondness for Argentinian productions.

Over his 30+ years as a DJ, Alain has cultivated a signature melodic, danceable, and thoughtful style with enough surprises to keep even the most devout listeners on their toes. His live events, organized only a few times annually, are a hypotonic, transformational experience for attendees, putting the Nation’s Capital on the map for electronic music. He has organized and collaborated in a number of events including Levitar, Sunday Meet & Beat, Sit-Down Sessions, Shake my Thursday and Expeditions, attracting a thoughtful crowd who stay mesmerized by his melodic, danceable sets, always peppered with delightfully unexpected sonic elements.

Alain M. is also a guest DJ submitting regular sets to several radio and online outlets. He is a resident on X-Beat Radio (France, Belgium). He was a monthly resident on Abyss Sound Experience on QuestLondon Radio in 2021 and on UK-based Beach Radio between 2021 and 2024.

He has appeared as a guest on a number of shows in several countries including the UK, Argentina, Spain, Poland, Brazil, Sri Lanka, Peru, Turkey, Israel and the US. In Canada, he has been featured as a guest DJ at several events by Ottawa-based Music.Art.Ppl, on CHUO FM’s Vanguard Pulse Radio, on CKCU FM’s Lost In Bass and Mapped Out Radio, on Montreal’s Afterhour radio show and on Toronto’s ION radio show.

Martin Di Sciascio es un DJ y productor de Progressive House, nacio en Buenos Aires, Argentina. 
Descubrio su pasion por la musica a temprana edad. A los 12 años comenzo a estudiar guitarra, bateria,
y gracias a su padre descubrio la percusion.
Despues de años formo bandas de musica de distintos generos, pero cuando descubrio la musica electronica, mas precisamente el Progressive House, quedo cautivado por los sonidos y atmosferas que escuchaba, su curiosidad por la musica lo llevo a estudiar produccion musical.
En su corta carrera ya lleva editando en mas de 10 prestigiosos sellos como Mango Alley, Droid9, Sunexplosion, YOMO Records, PURRFECTION, AH Digital, entre otros.
Cuenta con support de la escena internacional como; Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Ezequiel Arias, Gai Barone, Dj Ruby, Mariano Mellino, etc. Tambien cuenta con support de grandes referentes de la escena local como; EANP, Sebastian Buto, Fernando Ferreyra, etc.
Su buen gusto por la musica y la produccion lo ha llevado rapidamente a pasar por las mejores cabinas de Buenos Aires como; Bharein, Bali Costanera, La Biblioteca, Downtempo, Dune Park, entre otros!
Carecterizado por potentes lineas de bajos, atmosferas y un groove inconfundible Martin continua desarrollando su presencia en la escena del Progressive House internacional.

Martin Di Sciascio is a DJ and Progressive House producer, born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. 
He discovered his passion for music at an early age. At 12, he began studying guitar and drums, and thanks to his father, he discovered percussion. 
After years, he formed bands in different music genres, but when he discovered electronic music, more specifically Progressive House, he was captivated by the sounds and atmospheres he heard. 
His curiosity for music led him to study music production. 
In his short career, he has already released on more than 10 prestigious labels such as Mango Alley, Droid9, Sunexplosion, YOMO Records, PURRFECTION, AH Digital, among others. 
He has received support from the international scene, including Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Ezequiel Arias, Gai Barone, DJ Ruby, Mariano Mellino, and more. He also has support from major figures in the local scene such as EANP, Sebastian Buto, Fernando Ferreyra, etc. 
His good taste in music and production has led him quickly going through the best clubs in Buenos Aires such as Bharein, Bali Costanera, La Biblioteca, Downtempo, Dune Park, among others! 
Characterized by powerful bass lines, atmospheres, and an unmistakable groove, Martin continues to develop his presence in the international Progressive House scene. 
He is currently continuing to study and perfect his music, seeking excellence in every sound!

Alex has been interested in electronic music since his youth, being a supporter of trance & progressive styles since the early 2000's. Alex's musical preferences were shaped by such musicians and projects as Tiesto, Lange, Ferry Corsten, Gosmic Gate, Rank 1, Markus Schulz, Solarstone and other representatives of the trance scene. In 2008 and 2009, under the nickname “The Stalwarts” Alex took part in the projects “Belarus In The Mix 001” and “Belarus In The Mix 002” on the Internet radio station Afterhours.fm (AH.FM), in one of which he took 1st place according to the results of voting by Internet listeners. Over time, influenced by the work of Gai Barone, Hernan Cattaneo and Guy J, selective musical taste of Alex was transformed into a progressive sound.
Currently, Alex is rapidly entering the music arena, performing on the same stage with such high-profile representatives of progressive house as Dmitry Molosh and Kostya Outta. In November 2024 Alex and Kostya Outta released their joint massive track “New Dimension” on the UV Noir label.
