A beautiful track with heavy grooves is the highlight here, a smooth bass line with hypnotic beat all while meets delicate trickery effects. A very nice tech-house production makes this a dance floor oriented track. At last is G.Kay with &#8216;Wait for the Bell&#8217;. This track starts off with some lush pads and deep vibes on the foreground. The stabs are very busy but slowly more moving percussive elements are brought in along to create a smooth break. Solid tech-house productions stamped all over and you can&#8217;t ask more than that. An excellent release from Plasteline Recordings with both quality tracks, which are peak-time material and would fit perfectly as warm-up material for tech-house DJ&#8217;s as well. It’s the pre-squeeze leading up to the big release. Mobilee presents this double-track treat on both vinyl and digital. 

The A-side tears it up with „Hartwood“, Rodriguez Jr.’s biggest hit to date. With a series of alternating and repetitive keyboard strokes and soulful lyrics bouncing on a thick velvet cushion of rich background base, this number is guaranteed to appeal to the industry’s most respected players. Already landing on the hard drives of Pete Tong, Laurent Garnier and Simian Mobile Disco “Hartwood” has gained a bit of airtime as loyal listeners burn for the final release date.

The B-side features Anja Schneider with a full out female power vocal number ironically titled, “Henry & Lars”. This track takes form from a very cuddly story that took place at BPM Festival in Mexico as Anja’s little guy and a stuffed animal named “Lars” found love and friendship in a little girl and her stuffed-animal she called “Henry”. And so the story went on…

The two outstanding tracks leading up the 7th mobilee back to back compilation on April 5th is just the tip of the iceberg! Look out for another digital release „mobilee back to back part 2“ before the back to back hits online stores and shelve.

This set was recorded on my first trip to South Africa, where I performed at a festival and a free show in Soweto alongside local artists Vinny da Vinci , Dj Fresh, Euphonik, Culoe de Song and LSG. All tour dates were partnered with non-profit organisation Bridges for Music. The aim was to use music to break down socio-economic boundaries bringing people from different communities together . Considered to be one of the most exciting new talents coming out of the techno scene, Milan born Dema drops his first release on the influential SCI+TEC label in the form of the ‘Framing EP’. With previous support from techno heavyweights such as Sven Väth, Richie Hawtin, Carl Cox and Paco Osuna, it’s no wonder Dubfire snapped up this two-track slab of dance floor damage for his unremitting imprint output.
 
Opening track ‘Framing’ breathes new life into SCI+TEC’s impressively tight production aesthetic, as the constant, resounding low end gets overlaid with crunchy percussion, incoming interference and a groove-tinged, almost there vocal sample. ‘Subway’ rolls along fervently on parallel tracks, its intricate layering creating a more organic, living breathing quality to the drive.

Mumbai Science presents their latest work, the ‘1975 EP’. Two no-nonsense club-tracks, inspired by dirty warehouse techno but cheerfully colored with weird glitchy synths and catchy vocal snippets. The title track ‘1975’ features a deep male voice carelessly asking the crowd “So, What do you wanna do”. The answer is self-evident: "Party all night long and forget about our boyfriends!"

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But not when we’re talking about supermodels. The second track, ‘Models’, follows the same recipe as ‘1975’: overdriven warehouse techno extravagance with the lyrics paying tribute to Mumbai Science’s favorite… models. Some will say it’s a blatant rip-off of Teachers from Daft Punk, others will call it a homage. But does Mumbai science even care? Kiesekoms explains: “I don’t know man, we just made this track on one of those drunk afternoons. Is it getting released? Really? Well, I just hope we won’t get beat up by the French mafia again.”

It is not many new artists that can claim to have had the likes of Richie Hawtin and Dubfire looking to sign their first ever EP, but that's exactly the situation that 22 year old Joran van Pol found himself in earlier this year. Needless to say both techno heavyweights were satisfied when the Dutchman delivered one each for both Minus and SCI+TEC.

So having already ignited 2013 with his ep for the German giants, van Pol looks to increase the heat with his SCI+TEC debut, the Implicit EP. The quartet of powerful, atmospheric and ultimately funky tracks further showcase the young producers exciting talent and impressively confirm 2013 as his breakthrough year.

A man who needs little introduction, Southampton born techno legend Alan Fitzpatrick has spent the last decade carving out his musical niche and holding rank in the upper echelons of the underground electronic world. Few artists can claim to have headlined Berghain and also had a hit on daytime BBC Radio 1, but then there aren’t many artists like Alan Fitzpatrick. 

One of the most popular techno DJs in the world, he has rubbed shoulders with the likes of Carl Cox and Adam Beyer for the best part of a decade, performing at the world’s biggest clubs and festivals. Known primarily for his raw hard-edged sound, Alan has developed into one of dance music’s most versatile producers, equally at home putting out techno bangers on Drumcode as he is making disco-infused house anthems, or experimental electronica under his 3STRANGE alias, not to mention his impressive range of collaborations (including CamelPhat, Skream, Sasha, Rebūke and Jamie Jones). 

The We Are The Brave and Apex Faction label don adopts a no nonsense approach to A&R and in 5 short years Alan has welcomed some of Techno’s finest producers to his fold.
