Best of 2017 - Favorites I have come across.  Great stuff

Harry Jacobson joins Daniele Petrocchi and me on our original tribute to John Coltrane, Trane Wreck.  Coltrane and his quartet's sound with McCoy Tyler was so important in the 60s and together we explore some uptempo modal grooves and modes that drove Trane's seminal work with McCoy.  Harry's a teacher's teacher and brings the very finest sound to the Cloud.  Daniele's a monster electric bass player and musician and  lays down some beautiful bass lines and soloing too.  Sit back and smile:)

Happy Birthday (Jazz Arrangement)

Our tune Arrivederci took on a far deeper meaning when our great and talented friend Sam Mendez died in a motorcycle accident.  And so what was planned months before the tragedy - translated to When We Meet Again - keeps us all thinking.  So we are dedicating this one to Sam.

Our trio here includes D.C.'s remarkable Vlad Glovchovski on guitar.  His super tasteful grooving is only matched by the way Vlad pushes things rhymically and harmonically, creating and resolving tension across the backbeat and groove.  On electric bass, Daniele Petrocchi simply dances and adds such a wonderful thoughtful line of bass, rhythm and so often melody.   So great to be playing with both of them and to have them together.   This one's for you Sam....Arrivederci reached #3 on SoundCloud's Hot & New playlist in the Jazz & Blues category

It is not my best vocal but I really love the groove and wish you an Irie weekend - one love and respect !

Here's my original track I made after a long long time...
dedicated to the loners who had envisioned a design for his/her ideal city during late modern times, which has never been realized because of its radical idealism and criticism against the reality of materialistic world.

It's an instrumental blues rock, but actually, I wrote the draft at first as a song with lyrics a couple of years ago, but I couldn't finish the lines, and let it alone... then almost have forgotten... but I found it on my HD a few months ago, then have revised it as a completely instrumental version...
I hope you enjoy. Any feedback will be appreciated...Thank you in advance.

 - All were played and recorded in the studio (live, open-mic-rec)

This time, I didn't use any distortion effector...instead, done with minimal overdrive of amps to avoid the undesired turbidity of sounds while picking the several strings at once, since I found that my strat had the problem with intonation tuning on the high position, which I couldn't adjust myself...

- Guitar: Fender USA Stratocaster '58 extra re-issued(tuned to one semitone dropped down)
 w/ Fender '65 Deluxe Reverb Amp.
>> Lead(on the right) & Some other small fills (various position): 
 Front-PU, w/Boss CS-2, Vintage CE-1 & Maxon AD-9. 
 Additionally, Boss BF-2 for Choir-like fills.
 >> Rhythms (on the left): 
 Half-tone(front-middle PU), w/Maxon RTC600, MXR Phase90 & Maxon AD-9.
- Bass: Fender USA '66 Precision-Bass 
 w/ Fender Bassman Amps, plus Boss CS-2.
*All effectors were anterior use to amps. 
- Drums: Tama Acoustic Drum Kit w/Zildjian Cymbals (6-mics rec).
- Mixing and a few minor edit (revision) of drums : DAW.

Back with a grooving original funk tune with the fabulous Stephan "Pinner" Lipinski on guitar.   Pinner is on fire here once again with his driving wah rhythm playing and comes at us with such a great solo as well, before I follow up with that signature Hammond Organ sound.

What The Funk - with Stephan "Pinner" Lipinski / guitar

Honored to be releasing a new track today with Ronson Heimdal, Norway's spectacular fusion guitarist.  For fun we have named it Ronnie James Duo, after Black Sabbath and Rainbow rock vocalist Ronnie James Dio, who other than the name, has little to do with the title.  Sorry.

For Christmas, three years ago, I posted Daydreamers on the Spanish Highway, or Soñadores en la Carretera Española https://soundcloud.com/danarchx/daydreamers-on-the-spanish-highway-part-3-featuring-jamie-rhind, which turned out to be my most played and liked tune here on SoundCloud. It came to me as a bit of a surprise, being unknown, and because it was meant to be part of a trilogy of tunes which I had made as a collaboration with the great Jamie Rhind https://soundcloud.com/jamie-rhind. It was meant to conclude the journey with an acoustic instrumental that would be a calm version using the harmonies and melodies already known from the other two. I was quite unknown on SC as I just mentioned, Jamie had sort of discovered me here and pushed me to do more and collaborate. I thank him for that! It's been a marvelous journey from there and to commemorate this I have made a completely remixed and remastered version with brand new percussion and a more extensive solo from Jamie using all of the material he had sent me originally. 

So, although a known piece in my catalogue, I hope you'll enjoy it in it's new polished version too. As Always I enjoy your comments, likes and shares and I thank you for the time to take a listen!
