Dave H `s journey into electronic music began back in the early '90s, with Trance as his first love. A few years later, his musical taste shifted toward Deep House, but it was Progressive House that truly captured his heart. Influenced and inspired by legends like Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, and Guy J, David found his artistic direction and never looked back.

His first live encounter with this powerful and emotional sound came at Woodstock 69 in the Netherlands—an unforgettable experience that introduced him not only to incredible music but also to wonderful people who became lifelong friends.

For David, Progressive House isn’t just a genre—it’s home. His style is atmospheric, groovy, melodic, and sometimes even impulsive, but never too hard or repetitive. A track needs to speak to him—whether it’s through a gritty bassline, a beautiful vocal, a haunting melody, or an unexpected element that grabs attention.

He often begins his sets with warm, organic sounds—especially from labels like Amulanga, Songuara, and All Day I Dream—setting the mood before building into peak-time energy with melodic techno or darker progressive tracks. Artists such as Simos Tagias, Dowden, Dmitry Molosh, Kasper Koman, Tonaco, and Mike Rish are among his go-tos for that deeper punch.

David hosts his own monthly radio show, Progressive Pearls, on xbeat.org, airing every third Thursday of the month at 9 PM (CET). His sets often run for around three hours and are crafted to take listeners on a true musical journey—because for him, it’s never just about playing one track after another.

His guest mixes have been featured by respected platforms like PFG Movement (UK), Saturo Sounds (UK), Progresivna Suza (Serbia), Elements on Proton, Night Grooves (Netherlands), The Future is Now (Belgium), Unity (Hungary), Droid9 Label Showcase (USA), and Not by Rituals (Sri Lanka).

As a resident of Sugar Beats (Germany), David has played at numerous events across Germany, including a major open-air event at a castle near Limburg, and unique private parties in Amsterdam. In 2023, he performed at Melomanie during ADE, and at After Winefest in Limburg. He’s also played back-to-back sets with fellow artists like Chia Music, Sylva de Luna, Saebo, Alain Pauwels, and Zoyzi.

Considered as an artist in constant evolution, Alec is one of the best brazillian electronic music producers with more releases abroad.

The constant search for perfection in his creations have brought the tracks included on national and international compilations of great labels. 

Productions and remixes by Alec Araujo are found in the cases and tracklistings of established artists in the world electronic scene. With many productions spread all over Brazil and in the world, Alec is pointed as a good professional either from the public’s point of view or other artists.

As a result of all his work as a producer, he became one of the most important artist in the south of Brazil and one of the most promising producers of the country, playing in clubs like Warung and D-Edge.

The productions has a lot of supports from known djs/producers such as Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Paul Oakenfould, Guy Mantzur, Darin Epsilon, Pole Folder and many others.

His rmxs of  “Neon Lights” and “Vitamin” from Kraftwerk received big support of national and world-wide djs, including support of Wolfgang Fluer, Kraftwerk former. He said: “I love your rmxs of Neon Lights". Also included Alec in his book Ï Was A Robot”.


His monthly show on Frisky Radio called Fenix, has the same name as his party in Brazil, and has an important point to inform the public, new talent and producers of electronic music in Brazil and the world.  He is resident DJ on Progression, Progressive House project from D-Edge Club.

I've been listening to electronic music since I was old enough to tune into the John Peel show on Radio 1. Peel first introduced me to Chicago House, Detroit Electro and Rap. I would listen to an entire show with my finger hovering over the record button of my 'tape-recorder' close to the radio speaker just to record whatever 3 electronic imports he would play each night. I wish I'd kept those recordings.
From the moment I first heard 'Roxanne Shante' I sought out everything I could ranging from Kraftwerk, Mike Oldfield, Kurtis Mantronik, Africa Bambata, Grandmaster Flash, Gorgio Morodor, Axel-F, Jean Michel Jarre and just about anyone who used a synth to make music! With the arrival of House in the mid-late 80's the likes of Marshall Jefferson, Frankie Knuckles, Farley Jackmaster Funk, Steve Silk Hurley, Adonis and many more American underground House producers, the music had developed into a new, seriously exciting phenomena.
Music progressed at pace with House and Acid imports driving change, the UK in particular underwent an epiphany of sorts in the 80's and 90's. From Break-Dancing to New Romanticism, the music developed, finally morphing into the early genres of Acid Trance, Techno and Progressive Trance. Heavily influenced by American and underground Dutch and German artists and with the advent of clubbing and non-speaking mixing DJ's, it opened up a Pandora's box of new music, influences, sounds and styles. What that amounted to for me (and most others like me) was an ever-growing range of electronic music that was continually breaking free from pigeon-holes and mainstream pop culture. Electronic music had become the new classical music of a generation.
I can only say that electronic or computer music has evolved beautifully in the past 40 years and I love it as much now as the day I first heard John Peel play fantastic American imports.
I'm not anything more than a bedroom DJ and electronic music enthusiast. I have the greatest admiration for those who DJ publicly and seek to build a following or career from DJing, but that’s not a path I’ve tried to follow. I do love to put together great tunes, so for me using this sort of platform for sharing music is perfect for me. I do mixes both on my decks and using Ableton, as sometimes I find it easier to create a journey through that medium. 
As for making music, I’m slowly finding my way around Ableton in order to bring life to the musical ideas rolling around my head.
