The Illegal Future LP by INFRAVISION is the soundtrack to a (not so) imaginary future constructed with clear cyberpunk aesthetics, inspired by films like Strange Days, Blade Runner or Akira and of course by the current disturbing era.

Through their titles, lyrics and sonic palette Kendal & Pablo Bozzi channel a dystopian narrative on themes of virtual reality, police brutality, ultra-authoritarian leadership, illegal nocturnal activities, border controls, ecological crises and space colonisation.

It is their ambition to imbue the italo, EBM, early trance and breakbeat sounds of the 80s and 90s with an undeniably modern touch, making claim to their very own distinctive and powerful sound : Italo Body Music from another reality.

Fantasy Land (Curses Remix)

Area Z is proud to present our 11th tape, courtesy of Paris-based artist Théo Ferretti.

Coming from his gothic and post-punk roots, the project aims to fuse these influences with shades of electronic body music, martial techno and mystic industrial music, blending together darkness, poetry, existentialism and modern day brutalism.

Questioning the duality between the material and the immaterial, the past and the present, the sacred and the cursed, M I M’s sound is severe and transcendent while remaining danceable and cathartic.

Staring at the Void -his third EP- is the logical following to all of these topics, a dive into the abyss of the human subconscious through haunting basslines, rains of metal hits, screams of despair and liturgical chants.

Joining forces to Théo’s release, we have the pleasure to present three remixes of the EP, courtesy of England’s Randolph & Mortimer, our Toulouse's Arabian Panther and from UVB’s side-project Elements of Joy, which presents his first remix under this alias.

Following his appearance on Soil Records' second anniversary commemorative album, Rambal Cochet earned himself a special place on the label. His style makes him unique, the repeated tonal use of the harmonic minor scale is perhaps the most characteristic of this artist, with a musicality in his works that recall an early stage of Goa, situated long before moving to the force and energy of psy - trance.
His return this time is solo and he does it starring in the tenth reference on vinyl with UFO Researcher, an EP that he releases with 3 original tracks and 2 versions by Cute Heels and Berlin based Pablo Bozzi.

As the outline of the town grew larger, its veneer of sophistication began to crumble. This wasn't the same place they'd frequented as teenagers; the place that held some of their best (and worst) memories. What had once been a bustling centre, full of life and energy, now lay decrepit and uncared for. Everybody had moved out and onto bigger things, leaving a ghost town in their wake.

Motivated by merging visual arts and music with fashion, Parisian clothing brand EGONlab have unveiled their first V/A compilation, as an extension of their last collection, EGONLAB HORROR STORY AW21. They round up several producers to provide the haunting soundtrack, including the likes of FX093, Gewalt, Moral Animal and Pablo Bozzi, which moves through EBM, techno, new beat, electro and punk.
