The project INERT was started by Raffaele Cileo (electronics) and Alessio Lottero (guitars), almost seven thousand kilometers apart, between Pontassieve, in the province of Florence, and New York, the cities in which both artists lived. 
Alessio was originally from Genoa but lived in New York. Every summer, he had the opportunity to spend his holidays in Tuscany where his relatives lived. Here he met Raffaele who lived and worked in Pontassieve and the two shared a great passion for the soundtracks of noir and crime movies.
They immediately began to improvise and record the first sessions and so out of curiosity and a little experimentation, the first home-made demos were created that already represented the embryo of ‘Heartburn’. 
However, the summer holidays didn’t last long and work on the songs needed to go onto the web with an intensive exchange of files that would better define the arrangements.
Raffaele, after many years of absence, returned to his region of origin, Puglia, for his holidays, and it was precisely here in Trani in the summer of 2012, after nearly 20 years, that he bumped into his old friend and producer Beppe Massara, also A & R at Tarock Records, to whom he gave a demo tape with 15 tracks.
Beppe liked the work immediately and decided to produce the entire album INERT, entrusting the rhythm sections, originally electronic, to musicians such as Constantine Massaro from Trani, Paolo Ormas from Barletta and Francesco " Frums " Dettole from Andria, all of whom had been collaborators with Tarock Records for some time
All of the acoustic drums from the Album were recorded at LaVilla 24/7 Studios and the wind instruments sections were entrusted to Marco Nicolini, saxophonist in Bogliasco (Genova).

Because of the distance, the internet became the only way to carry out the production of the album and a long year of work was punctuated by occasional meetings at agreed times via Skype in order to define the structures of the songs that would later be mixed by Beppe Massara between May and August 2013.

Fox Vs Porcupine

Guitarist, composer and arranger from Genoa.
He begins to play the electric guitar, inspired by the English and American rock music of the Sixties.
After a frst approach to the instrument, he becomes attached to the american , the great black singers, later to the Chicago scene and fnally to the of the Sixties. He begins to develop his musical path in this direction.
After a few years, his interest in folk music intensifes and postpones for a long time the electric guitar. He dedicates himself to the acoustic guitar, to bluegrass, to country music and the diferent styles of the american guitar playing. He studies during several years with the Italian pioneer
of Flatpicking Beppe Gambetta. Afterwards there are international workshops, live performances with some appreciation. This convinces him to begin a more severe and dense study, to revive also the electric guitar. 2006 he registers at the Accademia di Musica Moderna Lizard di Fiesole (Florence). There his musical vision increases and enters the world
of fusion and .
2007 he visits the ￼ ￼ ￼ summer workshops. Five years later, he‘s awarded in Florence in electric rock-blues guitar and harmony of modern music.
The great passion for the cinema and the historical soundtracks drive him to a musical way which dissuades him from the idea to be merely an instrumentalist or executor.
He participates at the workshop Lizard soundtrack and the crash course
of Orchestration, with the aim to enter in the world of soundtracks.
He decides to go to the USA, to New York. During two and a half years, he works at recording studios and for commercial promotions with the Italian soundtracks composer Simone Giuliani, as studio guitarist and arranger.
He returns to Europe, and after a period in Berlin, in which he composes and records music for American short movies, he settles down in Zurich, Switzerland. Here he begins to collaborate actively with „NZZ Format“ and local producers. He produces music for commercials and TV- documentaries. Furthermore, he collaborates for several New York projects, within the range of short and long movies.
