KLASTÓS - REWORK EDITION
During this very particular year, Ginevra Nervi understood that one of the most important things to her and to her creative process is creating special connections with other artists from all over the world, and Klastós talks exactly about the connection between everyone and everything. 
The pandemic demonstrated perfectly, more than ever, how humans need to be connected to each other, how humans are not able to stay alone for long times and how this makes us vulnerable. We need to communicate and always interact with something new and different from our personal perspectives of things. 
In this “rework project” I see exactly what the concept represents. 

THE REWORKERS
Chevel said that reworking Ginevra's music came out quite fast and instinctive. He created a strong contrast between her vocal tones and his cold, synthetic and glossy sounds. It's something he always looks for when he produces, giving a contrast of feelings, whether it is with opposite layers or some kind of questions and answers between elements and melodies.

‘Song No. 1’/ ‘Memphis’

Alev Lenz is due to release her first UK single on 18th March. Since the release of her debut album in her home country of Germany the singer/ songwriter/ producer has busied herself with gigs in London and New York alongside working on soundtracks for several high profile German films and recording what will become her second album in London’s Premises Studios.

Song No. 1 and Memphis are the first tracks taken from Alevʼs second album and take in a diverse set of influences, from European classical through to experimental electronics.
Alev’s main collaborator for the album was acclaimed Finnish drummer Samuli Kosminen (Múm, Hauschka, Kronos Quartet, Jónsi). A mutual friend suggested they work together, which began weeks and months of emailing sessions from London to Helsinki and back. Song No. 1 and Memphis are the first songs from that collaboration. The two songs were then mixed by Jas Shaw of Simian Mobile Disco.

Since arriving in London Alev’s played shows at The Vortex, the hub of the capital’s avant jazz and electronic scenes, had an exhibition of her own artwork and hosted a show on the independent NTS Radio.

Alev Lenz is a is a German-Turkish singer, songwriter, composer and producer. Lenz's rich catalog of compositions fuse distinctive musical worlds into something that is authentically hers - compelling songs for both record and screen.

While working on material for her latest record '3', Alev composed her breakthrough track 'Fall Into Me' for Charlie Brooker's Netflix series 'Black Mirror'. Her s single 'May the Angels' from '3' featured on season two of critically-acclaimed Netflix series 'Dark'. 'Splendid Soldiers', Fall Into Me's album version, has also been featured on the third season of 'The Rain' (Netflix) while 'Pieces' of the same record has even been prominently featured twice on SKY's brand-new series 'Funeral For A Dog'.

'3' was released 2019 on the label arm of music tech company Spitfire Audio, SA Recordings, alongside a 20 patch Alev Lenz - '3' best selling and five star reviewed sample library, the first in the acclaimed music tech company whole new series of artist-led sample libraries.

Since 'Fall Into Me', her voice and writing have been in steady demand. Alev recently finished work on her debut feature film score, a commissioned piece for Grammy-award winning Brooklyn Youth Chorus and contributing vocals to Oscar nominated composer Volker Bertelmann's scores for the US-drama 'Downhill' and Netflix-blockbusters like 'The Old Guard', 'Stowaway' and 'Against The Ice'. Alev is frequently working in close collaboration with other artists, most famously with Martin Phipps who called her in to write the original song for "Black Mirror" and renowned sitarist and 7-time Grammy-Nominee Anoushka Shankar, with whom Alev co-wrote the title track for the Grammy-nominated album 'Land of Gold' as well as co-writing and co-producing Shankar's latest album 'Love Letters' - which culminated in three sold out shows with Shankar at London's Southbank Centre in December 2019 and a Grammy-nomination for the 63rd GRAMMY Awards in 2020. In 2021, on occasion of the gala concert at Krakow Film Music Festival, her composition for the Netflix-series Black Mirror was performed.
