Renowned for destroying genre boundaries, versatile Dutch garage punks 45ACIDBABIES are about to unleash their next instalment, an undeniable head-turner of a tune that encompasses everything the band are all about. ‘Mommy’s Favourite 1’ will land on the 5th March.

After their 2020 single ‘3 (Walk With Me)’, Sophia de Geus, Daniel Brem, Robin de Geus and Giorgio Paquay are getting back into releasing ways with a sucker-punch of a record that will continue to shock and intrigue their ever-expanding fanbase. It’s easy to see why they’ve clocked up millions of Spotify streams and ‘Mommy’s Favourite 1’ is no exception.

Featuring a relentless grooving bassline that Billie Eilish would be proud of, this is controlled chaos at it’s best. A truly gnarly punk-infused pop track that dips in and out of hip-hop, grunge and garage rock. The fuzzy guitar work, nod-to-the-90s vocals and overall stadium-sized feel make this one a true kick-starter for 2021. On their new single, the band added:
“Our newest single ‘’Mommy’s Favourite 1’ is about an Odyssey sirene island like situation that refers to the situation we’re all in right now. The COVID-19 life we’re living. It’s sung by ‘’The mother’’ who kidnaps lost people in the streets and takes them home to submerge them into a hypnotising party that will make you feel like you’ve escaped the real depressing life for a moment. Everything seems all fun and games. The perfect night. But then you find out you can never leave.”

Forever vibrant, energetic and downright original, 45ACIDBABIES have opened the floodgates on incredible new music over the last few years, including their 2019 debut album ‘Amber 19.’ There’s a reason they’ve shared the stage with the likes of The xx, Blood Red Shoes, Sleigh Bells, De Staat, Millionaire and many more and they’re quickly becoming the band that you NEED to know about.

Lumberjacks in Hell has been founded in 2010. Intimate Friends followed in 2013. For some people the difference or the need for distinction between these two is quite evident but to give you an idea. Lumberjacks is always 100% for the dance floor, inspired by the music from Chicago and Detroit which is not only reflected in the Artists we release. Intimate Friends is a headier affair. Soul, Hip Hop and House are all fair game. If you check the releases next to each other both labels have a distinct sound. And maybe a certain BPM range. This isn't saying that some of the music couldn't have appeared on either label but somehow it all makes sense to me. We are a duo that does improvisation sessions. We make noisy soundscapes with some hard beats and funky melodies (from time to time even considerd danceable). Our sound is a mix of acid, experimental, noisy techno and has an analog vibe to it. Almost everything we do is made on the spot as we jam together to see where the soundscape wil end up.

Mistakes will be made.

Our equipment varies from an iPad to a Kaossilator, Kaoss pad, analog drum computer and OP-1.

Justin Timmers is out on a mission since 2008 and is pushing the envelope as an energetic artist. Making electrifying connections with the crowd he knows how far he can push the boundaries of his DJ sets. Going above and beyond to find the right record for the right moment. 
	
Experimenting the first years as a professional DJ he started producing his own tracks in 2014 to develop himself as an artist and finding his own sound. Balancing between energetic, melodious and dark techno he is truly working his way to the top of his game. With numerous gigs at Soenda, We Are Electric, Solar, Toffler, Verknipt and many others he always delivers an outstanding performance. Add this to his residencies at Basis Utrecht and his work as a young talent coach he is someone to keep an eye on.
