Alex Mac & Zeebra Kid - Bonkers 2025 - Ministry Of Sound

PHD started his dance music journey in the early 2000's on the dance floors of  Slinky, Frantic, Sundissential and Gatecrasher. In 2002 he bought his 1st set of turntables and spent the next 6 months locked away in his bedroom learning to mix Trance, Hard Trance and Hard House. In 2013 after driving a friend to a DJ competition he was offered the chance to play a b2b set to fill the time slot of a competitor who'd pulled out and from there he had the DJ bug.
In early 2014 he played at Shine in Birmingham and then won the Premonition Overload DJ competition and the chance to play their pre party. He's since gone on to play for Premonition Overload, Digital Impact, HDM, Inside Out, Nokturnal, Tsunami, Erratic Tango, Digital Evolution, Brixton Trance Underworld, Harderfaster, Ravey Dayz, A.😭, Tidy Leeds and Trance Sanctuary. PHD was  lucky enough to play the Tidyland Weekender headlining the Tidy Two tent alongside NG Rezonance.
In 2014 he also started to learn to produce music and has track collaborations with NG Rezonance, Costa Pantazis, T-Factor, Criostasis and ReDrive, and had tracks and remixes signed to labels such as Metamorph Digital, Syncopy Recordings, Tidy, ReDrive Records, Tangled Audio, Defiant Digital, Positive State, Electrik Shandy and Pharmacy Records. 
2016/17 has seen him exploring the harder end of Trance and has had is recent productions supported by Jordan Suckley, Mark Sherry, Darren Porter, Allen & Envy, Alex M.O.R.P.H, David Rust, Tempo Giusto, Manuel Le Saux, Mike P.U.S.H and Paul Van Dyke
2023 has seen Paul's collaboration with NG Rezonance and Avaxx-Lost in the music  being played on Radio 1.

Then:
Bought my first Kam belt drive record decks in 1998, and started DJ-ing shortly around Cork City and County as well as getting a slot on local stations Kiss FM, NRG FM, Klub FM and a few shows on the legendary Radio Friendly. Genres at the time- trance, house and hard-house. Also started using Acid Pro to make my own edits and mashups.

Having been retired from the DJ-ing game since 2006, Ableton Live filled the void as I started to learn to produce tracks.

Now...
In 2019, I picked up my first midi controller, a Pioneer SB3 with Serato Pro and started putting new set mixes on mixcloud.

Currently, I'm putting out bootlegs and mashups using Ableton as a kind of learning curve to making original tracks.

Short term goal - 2k+ followers. DONE!
Long term goal - get something signed! DONE!
New goals incoming, roll on 2023!
