Stepping up next on the prolific Last Night On Earth label is rising Mexican talent Issac. Having been supported in the past by label founder Sasha, Guy Gerber and Dixon (to name just a few), it’s no surprise to see his hypnotic dancefloor tracks being released on LNOE. 
 
Issac begins the EP with ‘Clavel’, a percussive, driving track where stripped-back drum sounds combine their elegant pulses to form a complexity of entrancing polyrhythms. Crisp, rolling 909 Toms bring a sense of melody with their powerful tones while contrasting against shimmering ride cymbals and a firm, floor-filling kick drum. Before long, the expanse of drums breaks away for a truly euphoric uplift of oscillating synths and heroic vocal pads, forming a momentous drop, somewhere between classic trance and hard-hitting techno. 
 
‘It’s An Extreme Life’ delivers more complex rhythms, where layers of recurrent guitar scratches congregate amongst twinkling bell sounds and trippy, glitched-out drum tops. The ten-minute composition builds gradually up to a minimalistic breakdown that exposes the harmonic rhythms of the track’s epicentre. 
 
Issac closes the record with ‘Rimel’, a fusion of acid-house era drum machines (like the infamous Roland TR-727 congas), blend amongst the nip-tuck-tight pulse of driving 4/4 kicks and swaying shaker loops. Fusing in anthemic synth lead lines and massive, echoing chord stabs, ‘Rimel’ closes the record with true harmonic bliss.

From ancient Gelderland and its city of new church, Alex O'Rion rises "Around Us". A glittering edifice with crisp percussive foundations and bassline shines with melodic intensity. The age of "Envy" is brought into sharp focus with metronomic rhythmic force. Hypnotic and alluring, shakers fill the air with timing and precision while rippling keys add lightness of touch soaked in reverberated reflections and exquisite melancholy. An antidote to base emotion found in pure musical formulation.

"Ukko" reigns from above, the god of the sky unleashes thunderous musical expression. Cavernous bassline patterns rumble across the lower frequencies while resonant effects shatter the sonic landscape with pulsating white-noise swells. Sunlit sonic motifs emerge from the gloom in resplendent fashion to ease the oppression from the skies.

Michael Hooker has been a revered name in the worlds of techno and melodic house for quite some time. The UK-bred, US-based DJ, producer, and label owner is known for his tasteful blend of heavy rhythms and catchy melodic sequences which have seen releases on labels like Desert Hearts Black, Dear Deer, Suah, and his own Re:Sound Music. Michael makes his debut on Yoshitoshi with the Warning EP, featuring two unique originals and a stunning remix from progressive house mainstay Quivver.

“Warning” is the kind of hard and heavy techno that seems to build forever, its rising leads and soaring sounds creating a sonic tornado of tension before unleashing flurries of sirens and pounding drums. As Nigel Tufnel might say, this one “goes to 11.” 

“Thoughts of You” is more on the hypnotic side of things, with a slower tempo and a syncopated vocal sample that morphs and evolves into all manner of robotic forms. Lush pads and exotic percussion fill out the space creating an atmospheric vibe that still rolls and moves like proper techno.

Quivver’s remix of “Thoughts of You” takes the track in a darker, cinematic direction, with massive, modulating synth stabs and a heavy groove. It’s trademark Quivver, and the veteran producer’s chops are on full display with his razor-sharp focus to detail. The remix rounds out this package with a refreshing and progressive mix.

Welcome Alex Preda Einmusika. The Amsterdam based producer comes up with a melodic and dreamy EP for the summer. "Mind Program" is groovy and has a lot of playful lead melodies next to deep pads. "Before Sunrise" starts exciting and mysterious and then opens up some wonderful 80's textures. "After Midnight" is more functional and works perfect for groovy set's on a sunny afternoon.

Alex Preda is a Romanian DJ and producer based in Amsterdam. His love for dance music began in the 1990s, with favorites like disco and dance- pop. In 2007, he moved to the Netherlands, where his sound evolved from the electronic sounds of Jean Michel Jarre and Vangelis to his signature driving techno, always with an element of warmth and melody.

Preda has released music on renowned labels such as Days Like Nights, Atlant, Rukus, Oddity, Infinite Depth, and Bedrock.

He has gained strong support throughout the industry, including from Pete Tong, Sasha, John Digweed, Fur Coat, Eelke Kleijn, Beswerda, Matador, BOg & Adriatique.

During his performances, Alex has shared the stage with Hunter/Game, Sasha, John Digweed, Tinlicker, Artbat, Beswerda, Mees Salome, Adriatique, BOg, Dixon, Maceo Plex, and Worakls.

With his releases on notable labels and his support from the world's leading DJs. Alex Preda is a serious player in the melodic techno scene, he is one to watch.
