Nothing Sounds The Same

Inspiration: 

This song was written as a reflection my musings over the power and freedom that comes from a place deep within you. A place where meaning is found. These thoughts, and subconscious actions capture a unique force. One that directly acts on the direction we assume in our progression to a goal most of us are only semi-conscious of. It is something that dwells in the twilight recesses of our mind and is an inbuilt desire that we all have to aspire to.

This is my endeavor to remind us that we all have the unique power to bring this desire forth, out of the obscure realm of dreams, and make them manifest themselves in our reality.  For many people their dreams are a source of hope and courage, of better things that could be, and it is my hope that this song touches individuals, bringing them to a point of change and self-reflection, in order to develop a better understanding of who they really are and pursue what is meaningful in their lives. 

They style in which is is sung aims to be reminiscent of a lullaby in order to better portray the dreamlike nature that it is trying to convey.

Inspiration:

This track was something that I was working on around 10 years ago with a friend of mine. I recently stumbled upon it a few weeks ago and decided to record a very rough shortened version of it. I will most likely record the original later which is longer and more nuanced. This was just a quick endeavor on my part to remind him that I still think of him and care for him. It's a lighter and much less complicated version than the original calls for and I am sure you will be able to hear this from the recording. 

The song was written as a memoir of a struggle that he went through with his father. It is something that has left deep scars on his life, these scars have always remained with him and influenced him in a big way. In this recording I chose to fuse Blues and Country together as they are two genre's that he is particularly fond of. I hope you are able to resonate with the message and that you enjoy listening to this very short piece.
