Alex McCarthy is a twenty year old musician from Leicester, UK. His music blends elements of Jazz, Metal, Rap and Popular Music. Writing music for three years, Alex has been influenced by artists including 'Twenty One Pilots', 'Loathe' and 'Sleep Token', allowing him to craft his unique, well-rounded sound.

He has been featured on BBC Radio, interviewed on HFM Radio, had an article printed in his area’s newspaper, and has had his newest song 'OPAQUE' played on 7 radio stations. 

Alex studies Music Technology at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. 

"WRAITH", the debut EP by Alex McCarthy, boasts a unique sound sculpted by the use of Saxophone and Bass led melodies, uplifting harmonies and contrasting vocal sections throughout. ‘WRAITH’ deals with the important issue of mental health; an issue that many can relate to.
