Sailing Free

Alexa Merlot, born Sarah-Louise McCarthy is a singer/songwriter/producer from just outside Dublin, Ireland. At 19, Merlot moved to London and it was there she honed her skills and embraced a huge passion for composition and production.

In 2010, Merlot, 27, adopted the stage name Alexa Merlot when she won two National Music Awards with Access to Music UK in Songwriting and Production.
Alexa Merlot spends her time on aspiring to be both a profound songwriter and an artist. She possesses a power in both her co-writing works and individually which is sure to bring her into the spotlight in the near future.

Merlot is currently recording her new EP, and after spending her summer running a music production programme for kids in New York, she will return and plan her release late 2016.
