Roberto B (@mgxloop and @volt5000) and I are glad to present "Ephémérie 5 (Extended Collaborative Version)", as track 10 (last-but-one) in our collaborative album "Let There Be Peace!", which we started in early January 2022 and which we (just decided to) complete today - and I'll post it (exclusively and freely) here on SC as a whole album in minutes. The track was created in collaboration on 28, 29 and 30 March 2021 (1st part, acoustic guitar: initial mix and recording in GarageBand and Logic Pro by Alex M) and 2, 3 and 4 May 2022 (2nd part, electro house: extension with further additions, arrangements, and final mix and recording in MAGIX by Roberto B), and posted here on SoundCloud on 5 May 2022 (by Alex M), together with the whole "Let There Be Peace!" collaborative album of ours.

The artwork cover for the track is based on a photo taken on 28 June 2018 (by Alex M, in Golfo di Orosei, Sardegna), then resized and saved in JPG format in MacOS Preview (by Alex M) on 26 January 2019, and finally annotated on 4 May 2022 in MacOS Preview (by Alex M) - and in coordination and agreement with Roberto B.

I appreciate all the comments, likes and repost that you leave me in my compositions.

I make music for fun and to get away. I have multiple styles, although my biggest influence is in electronic music.

I am self taught and learned with Music Studio 2 on a first generation ipad 11 years ago. I have never composed before. Perform more than 80 songs a year for the first 6-7 years to learn about the program and develop creativity to compose. I have listened to different types of music throughout my life and maybe that has helped me.

I still compose only with an ipad (last generation), but I no longer work only with native MS2 instruments since I have expanded my instrument library with programs such as Audiokit, Digital D1, kv331, Sunrizer, etc ...

My music can be downloaded, but not used for commercial purposes (my authorization is required).

I have always admired music, of diverse styles. Like most of us, I have tried learning to play a few instruments at a basic level in my teenage. But it is only now, in the 21st century, that modern software allows anyone to fool around being the composer, the designer of a whole composition, simpler or more complex, organising together the parts of the various instruments - and to hear the results of this experimentation or inspiration instantly! That is how I have recently begun enjoying the distraction of attempts at composing during my leisure, discovering an amazing dimension of life, and art, perhaps the most intangible, heightening and hypnotising one, and the closest to the soul... (21 August 2017) ... Forgot to mention: music is for sharing - that's why we are all here! (4 September 2017)

My genre influences include electronic, downtempo, lofi, experimental, rock, blues, indie, prog, post rock, ambient, synthwave, trip hop, and hip hop. 

My recent tunes are produced using Ableton Live, FabFilter suite plugins, and often feature synths like Pigments, Microfreak, and Minilogue XD. I'm also beginning to incorporate guitar a lot more!

A small note on my own behalf: I have noticed that my playback figures have dropped dramatically. The statistics show that the number of playbacks has dropped from 2000 per week to just under 200.
On the one hand, this is frustrating, as everyone sees this as an indicator and confirmation of their work. On the other hand, figures are not particularly important, but one wonders what is wrong. In my opinion, SC has changed a lot, uploading tracks has become more complicated and constant security queries are annoying.
In addition, great artists are disappearing from the platform, partly by their own choice, partly because they have been banned, the algorithm has “recognized” them as spam and mercilessly deleted their account. I'm still a paying member, but my attitude towards this has changed...

A long, long time ago, there was an organ in the Christmas-decorated living room in his parents' house, where Frank grew up. Originally bought by his father for his two older siblings, they showed no interest in playing the organ. Frank, however, did. White and black keys and giving off strange sounds. 

So at the age of 9 he began to let his fingers circle on this instrument, searching for the right keys like on a typewriter. And another 9 years would pass before he could buy his first own instrument. Already at the age of 13 he made notes about the then current synthesizers, bought one magazine after the other and visited music fairs in Frankfurt, Germany.

His first keyboard was the Yamaha DSR-2000, which he bought in a music store near his hometown Biebertal. In installments! Finally he could develop himself further - away from the limited tonality of the small organ. The built-in 8-track sequencer helped him to reach unimagined heights. 
Little by little his equipment expanded and his ambition to create music like that of Jean-Michel Jarres came closer. Influenced by this and countless other musicians of the time, his interest grew, but he taught himself everything. Not even having attended a music school or being able to read music at all, he wrote one song after another and recorded them on the only medium available to him at the time: audio cassettes.
Many of these recordings are unfortunately lost forever, because cassettes are and were not the best recording medium. He has to try to play many of his songs from memory. 

In 2007, he fulfilled a long-awaited wish: to buy a KORG. He had always wanted to own one, but with the latest synthesizers at the time of their release having a purchase price of over 6000 D-marks (the currency of the time in the 1980s and 1990s), that dream of owning one was far away. So in 2007 he bought a used KORG 01W/FD at ebay. And as before with the purchase of the Yamaha keyboard, a completely new world opened up to him.

In addition, there were expanders and sound modules from Kawai, Roland and Yamaha (K1m, SC-55, QY10). Six years later his enthusiasm for making music ebbed and rediscovered his hobby (which it always was and still is). In 2018 in April he decided to present his music to a wider audience and uploaded his first song on the platform soundcloud. Since that time, thanks also to the ever-evolving software, he continues to evolve, experiment and relive his times through music.

Beeinflusst von vielseitigen urbanen Musikstilen, kreiert er einen ganz eigenen mitreißenden Sound. Seine Texte mit Tiefgang geben dabei Raum zur Reflektion. Wo energetische Beats auf modernen Elektropop treffen, wird der Großstadtdschungel zur Leinwand und der Rausch im Club tanzbar.



Als Soundtüftler und Sänger führte ihn sein breites musikalisches Interesse auf Ausflüge in Elektro Duos, Rap- und Avantgarde Projekte, wodurch er sein Talent entwickelt hat, unterschiedliche Stilrichtungen neu zu denken und sie zu etwas Einzigartigem zu mixen. Das Ergebnis ist die 1. veröffentlichte Jim Anders EP Lauf!, die in Eigenregie im heimischen Studio bei BaumSoundBerlin entstanden ist und mit 6 kraftvollen Tracks aufwartet. Moderne Musik kann auch anders - reinhören, aufdrehen, abgehen!

Mostly, as a self-taught guitar player (maybe not... considering all the influences and internet/book resources I've come across lately!)  and rather than trying to be anything remotely near a good player of any great technique, I'm not bound by genre or clichés; I just like to go for it. It's a whole lot better that way. 
Blues is a human expression of emotion. That may explain why I felt called to blues music, even though, I grew up in Europe, a continent apart from the music’s heartlands in America’s Deep South. And that may also be the reason for the great Portuguese Bluesmen we have nowadays (The Legendary Tigerman/Frankie Chavez/Budda Power Blues/Rui Veloso/Dead Combo/The Black Mamba/Mazgani and many others...)

I’m a fan of raw guitar players who aren’t really polished… you’re not sure if it’s all going to fall apart.  Those who, rather than trotting out a collection of preconceived practised licks and lines, take some chances along the way, creating ideas on the spot. IMHO they sound more exciting and impressive for it. I play whatever comes into my head. It's an adventure because when I do a breakdown or a solo, it's new each time and I just let it go... The majority are first take. I just turn it on and press record...they are mostly one moment in time. I’m always looking for something. Sometimes I’m not quite sure what, but you just have to keep looking...
The real beauty is playing without thinking and once you have some concepts down, what comes out, is from the heart.  It's second nature. 
I just enjoy listening and playing some music, in honour of that timeless way of killing time (just for the fun of it...and whenever inspired: "If you're not feeling it, don't play it!"). I'm happiest picking out a blues tune to a suitable backing track. After all, simple music is the hardest to play...
For me, half the battle is to get the right sound. And that, in turn, inspires how you play.
As a tone fiend, I like to let those bluesy guitar tones breathe a little bit. But, almost everything I play, it never, ever comes out quite the way I heard it in my head. Sometimes I end up with something that's kind of close, but it's not quite what intended originally. These uploaded tracks are no exception... They are far from being perfect. First of all, I'm not a fan of perfection when it comes to music...it may even compromise the tone, but if the tone is there, great! It sounds like a human being playing guitar. 
As Dan Patlansky once said "I would rather hear an average player with a great guitar tone than a great player with a bad tone".
 I love stuff that sounds like a spontaneous real-life experience. Playing music is a human activity, and we humans are far from perfect! There is a certain charm in something that feels human with the flow of a spontaneous performance. It's that spontaneity that makes for the magic...
