German dj-producer Mathias Modica aka Kapote is no new name for those into electronic music for a while. He used to dj and produce by the name of Munk and co-running Gomma label back in the days.

It's one thing to make a name by yourself in the scene, it's another story to survive into a very competitive environment, always hungry for new flesh to eat, and reinvent yourself !

Mathias funded Toy Tonics in 2012 and slowly to slowly managed to make it a staple in the house music scene (while Gomma was more of an indie dance, pop, disco & electroclash kind of mixture) with releasing tirelessly new fresh stuffs. Hard work paid off as Toy Tonics became a brand in itself, making parties absolutely everywhere in Europe and beyond with numerous residents such as Kapote himself, Sam Ruffillo, Barbara Boeing, Stump Valley etc...

As producer, Kapote just released his new album "Para Mytho Disco" early april and if you read this on time, he's on duties tonight at Infamous Rex Club in Paris with Gee Lane & Fimiani for another TT party!

I want you
The early 90s were dominated by sampler made house
music. In those days Robtnick was quite distant from the
dance scene as he was mainly busy composing
soundtracks and ambient music. Sometimes , just to have
fun, he would make disco house that he would then play
at his private home parties. One of these experiments is
"I want you" where he recently merged materials coming
from different sources into a 125 bpm hybrid.
TB Maniac
In the late 80s Robotnick decided to sell his analogue stuff
and buy a sampler machine. Before getting rid of his
TB303 he recorded some sequences it contained onto a
tape. A few years ago one of them became a new track
and definitely not by chance it was titled TB Maniac. it's a
truely vintage track: all of the synths used in it are earlier
than 1982. 120 bpm
Black Garage
In the mid90s , under different art names, Robotnick got
involved with music styles such as ambient and world ,
quite different from what he was best known for . There's
a lot of material from those days in his archives. One of
them is Black Garage. It may sound a bit trancey but it's
still part of Robotnick's artistic process. 123 bpm.
