Background
The Flightpath Estate in association with The Golden Lion, Todmorden, have compiled a double vinyl album, 10 tracks by 10 different artists who have an association with the late, much missed Andrew Weatherall. 

Sounds From the Flightpath Estate includes 9 exclusive tracks, including a previously unavailable Two Lone Swordsmen track, an exclusive cover of Smokebelch by Andy Bell (Ride, Glok) and one off recordings by Justin Robertson, Richard Sen, Hardway Bros, Timothy J. Fairplay, Sons Of Slough, Rude Audio, 10:40 and a world renowned Belfast based DJ and producer.
 
The Flightpath Estate is a Facebook group dedicated to the music, art and work of Andrew Weatherall which began life in 2013 and has become a virtual home to his fans, friends and family. It is also the host of the Weatherdrive, thousands of hours of recordings of Andrew Weatherall’s DJ sets, mixes and radio shows. 

Sounds From The Flightpath Estate is a compilation celebrating people and places, the outlook, aesthetic and music Andrew Weatherall was known for, and the sense of community and love of music centred around The Golden Lion. 

The sounds are forward thinking, created with a deep understanding of the music of the past but future facing, dance floor oriented and made with love.

All monies raised will be split between Andrew Weatherall's favoured charities (Crisis, Shelter and Thrombosis UK) and The Golden Lion.

The Vendetta Suite is back to light up the early part of 2025 with a brilliant brace of singles on Hell Yeah. Kicking things off is a glorious acid house/disco thriller backed by a soothing out of body escape.

We’ve often referred to The Vendetta Suite as Belfast’s best kept secret, but with the quality music he keeps releasing he is rightly picking up ever more of a profile. The Hell Yeah regular has long been a key part of his native Northern Irish scene thanks to the way he mixes genres; ambient, post-rave Balearic, dub and acid house all in the mix with his own unique psychedelic magic.

First up is ‘The Jam Answer’, which taps into plenty of classic sounds but reinvents them for modern dancefloors. Bendy acid lines weave in between the dusty analogue drums, familiar acid house vocal samples and fizzing chord stabs bring the heat before a cosmic synth lead sings out with sunny soul.  ‘Island Hill Microdot’ channels dreamy Chicago house, the futuristic styles of IDM with the blissed out warmth of Balearic. Carried along with gentle percussion, it’s an immersive soundscape that makes for the perfect tropical distraction.

DC Promo Tracks: Silent Spirit "The Edge"

Following Ed Rain’s debut solo album ‘Met Him on a Wednesday’ (Ed is one of Andrei Rusu’s – aka half of Khidja – solo projects,), Malka Tuti Records release two aces remixes of the title track’s collaboration with Fantastic Twins.

We’re premiering Superpitcher’s MAD DECENT 10 minute signature opus of a remix. Cor listen to that bassline on some good cans…

Alexander
Robotnick has rummaged in his DATs from 1995 (when
he was working with Windows 95!!). He picked some MIDI
and samples and re-arranged them in his new studio .
This is how "It's all right baby" came about, a mocking
swinging funky track that also includes arpeggios and
electronic stabs. 120 bpm
N.2 "Disco Action" comes from a more recent era, 2005,
precisely, when
Robotnick found and bought the same synths he 'd used
in the early 80s.
The original recording was just a "test-track". 126 bpm
N.3 "Minore terzo" dates back to 1998, it was recorded at
a time when
Robotnick was probing the typical scale/mode ("third
mode") of trance
music. This particular mode creates a "moody" sound that
Robotnick developed and transformed into dreamlike
techno groove. 126 bpm.
