Based in Berlin, Skelesys is a versatile, ever-evolving and particularly cutting-edge artist. He’s a producer, DJ and live act with a strong musical background inspired by Hard Rock, Post-Punk, Synth Pop, science fiction and horror movies.
His sound could be defined as haunted and effective, the result of a delicate and neat mixture of marked basses and guitar riffs always accompanied by thriller melodies and subtle grooves surrounded by darkness with a stripped down futuristic vibe.
Skelesys produces and performs a mixture of post-punk, italo-dark wave and EBM with a touch of rock n roll.
He has released on a handful of well respected labels such as Eskimo Recordings, Ombra INTL, Oraculo Records and Snap Crackle & Pop to name a few.
He is primarily a live artist, incorporating his guitar with electronics and vocals on stage. Also DJing all things under the umbrella of 80s influenced dark club sound.
His music has been supported by artists like Curses, Jennifer Cardini, Perel, Kris Baha, Local Suicide, The Brvtalist, Justin Strauss, Reka to name a few.
His latest work is "Epsilon", a four track EP released both digital and physical via Oraculo Records.

Theus Mago is the alter ego of established Mexican producer Mateo González, responsible for dance music projects such as Bufi (Kitsuné/Discotexas), Sonido Fantasma (Turbo Recordings) and currently co-head of label Duro. This new side of Mateo is a consequence to the urge of explore and experimenting with a more obscure, coldwave and techno influenced side.
In 2015, Theus Mago released “Ritmo Extraterrestre” through the french/german label Correspondant, earning support from big names such as Solomun, who included it in several of his 2015 presentations. Since then, Bufi’s side project has had a constant streak of solid releases in recognized labels around the globe, such as Lumiere Noire, Turbo Recordings, La Dame Noire, Ombra Intl and forthcoming on Optimo.

We're very happy to have Mateo aka @TheusMago join the Sinchi series. Mateo also known for being co-founder of record label Duro and also releasing music and performing under his Bufi moniker. As Theus Mago, he has a rich history of releases on labels such as correspondent, Ombra, La Dame Noir and Lumiere Noire amongst others. As you will read in the below interview, there is much more to come too.

1) Introduce yourself?

My name is Mateo González, I create music and DJ under the aliases Theus Mago and Bufi since the late 2000's.

2) What have been your highlights from the last 12 months?

Definitely my highlight was releasing an EP on one of my all-time favourite labels Optimo Music (EP is out now digitally and one of the tracks was released on vinyl through the same label).

Also touring Europe last April was remarkable, especially playing at Sisyphus Berlin.

3) What do you have lined up for the coming year?

Another European tour in October / November, an EP on Pets Recordings as Theus Mago, an EP with Moderna on Side Up Works (with awesome remixes from Ewan Pearson, Justin Robertson and more), and a Bufi EP on Feines Tier that includes a killer remix from Curses.
