Hot Creations unleash this years Summer Anthem in the form of Jealousy by Funky Fat. Brazilian foursome Funky Fat are back with an unmissable summer release on Hot Creations featuring remixes from the mighty Jamie Jones, Horse Meat Disco legend Severino and rising underground star Hanfry Martinez, all lending their magic touch to the title track. Funky Fat were first seen on the label with the ‘Masochist EP’, their joint venture with fellow Brazilian stars Digitaria, which received critical acclaim across the board for its fresh fusion of electro, disco and pop. Fans of the release included the likes of Solomun, Sasha and Claude Von Stroke.

The band is comprised of Thiago Guimarães, Gui Santoro, Rafael Cury & Manu d´Alcântara from Belo Horizonte, Brazil and together they’re bringing their sexy, vibrant sound and infectious melodies to the global scene via Hot Creations.

David Mendo can’t stop and won’t stop right now; after hoarding plaudits with his remix of Luca Lento’s ‘Poema’ and going nose to nose with Charles Ramirez for ‘No More’, he now locks horns with Madridista and Ibiza insider Danny Serrano for a pair of portly summer rumbles. Clarisse’s next pleasure principle and guarantee of perspiration is not the first time these two have got together either. 2008’s ‘Coconuts’ picked the lock on the pair’s future path of unremitting, tribally entwined, pump-the-bump grooves that have gone on to time sunrises and sunsets, from 2010’s gibbering funker ‘Yanara’, to ‘Poupea’ ushering in waves to lap at its feet in the same year, and the popping tech jabs of Clarisse release ‘Sugar on the Body’.

Toughened up by the kind of drivingly incessant bassline that sorts dancefloor athletes from weekend drivers, ‘The Bassement’ is a one-way ticket of tribalism pulling no punches, deep house weaponry with slow-burning fire in its belly. Though it’ll undoubtedly benefit from a bronzing come holiday season, you’ll be praying that the party heads South so that the cellar-as-steamroom is the place to be once needle meets wax.

The bottom end to ‘Truesoul’ may have more bounce and give more glass-clinking breathing space. But there’s no let up and no room for tip-toers and toe-tappers, as Serrano and Mendo have taken on the form of the most stylish of dungeon masters. As a criss-cross of vocal interventions from the player’s ball next door goad you into retaliation, it’s a second statement of staying power and modesty made much bigger; the bass remains something you’d baulk at down a dark alley, telling diet and diluted deep house to take a look at itself.

The mesmerising Âme remix has been gliding its way round sound systems across the globe since the start of the year and it's no surprise as to why. The perfect end of set track, it enchants its way through eight minutes of euphoric vocals, grand synths, astounding builds and simply gorgeous drops.

With his hits 'The voice of Dru' and the '2 know U' EP on Exploited Doctor Dru earned respect and backslapping from the biggest names of the scene. Since then the journey has started and led him around the globe touring all continents. He spread the voice of dru in the well renown clubs around and gained much love for his adrenalizing sets. But a busy schedule doesn´t mean a special outcome: we are happy to finally have him back for our 13th release on JEUDI Records. 

Proper Lane: 
If you feel like that there is time for your dancing feet to have a portion of propellent beats you should hear what this track is telling you. Skyrocket sounds coated with sensitive words told in an outer space could be the right sweeping emotion you will get from this deep technoid groover. As Doctor Dru carries a tune for further tracks like his underground hit "U Don't Dance" we are proud to hear him vocalising his approach of having a journey to a 'proper lane '.

Speaking of journey. 'Alpha Ray' will tell you a new school of sound experience. What if  a 90s rave, Pink Floyd, John Carpenter and a starbirth open a door full of shining beats and deeper dark sounds? Yes, you will get on a journey of a modern deep house track filled with a broad and redemptive sound. The beats and booms come as a relief and create a weightless feeling of sound aesthetic. We suggest Doctor Dru managed to bring exactly those feelings together on this track.

Jay Haze's Bearly Legal EP was such a success, but with just two tracks, our circle of producer and DJ friends were asking us why we didn't release any mixes! Well, ask and you shall receive...

"No Need for Loops" was the original EP's B-side, but with positive feedback and play from Ewan Pearson and Ellen Allien, we've decided this time to let it have the glory of A-side status with a top-notch rework from Ilario Alicante (Cécille, Tenax) who combines a busy, pulsating rhythm with the lulling undercurrent of melody for a hypnotic effect.

"Take your Hat Off" gets the remix treatment in the hands of several adept producers: first Shaun Reeves (Wolf + Lamb) and duo Tale of Us (Barraca Music) team up for a sly, seductive version, while Amam label boss Alessio Mereu offers a punchy, revved up take to give the 12" some welcome contrast. And as a digital bonus, we offer yet two more versions: the fluid, deep sound of Giuseppe Cennamo (Monique Musique) and some dubbed out piano house from Naph (PulseWith). Since the EP was already Bearly Legal, we decided to stop with five remixes and not take any further risk!
