Today's Premiere is by Vancouver based producer Jesse Bru. Released through French imprint Egoplanet, his latest offering, the "Roach Fingers" EP, features four tracks of raw yet elaborate house music. Take the title track here : a clever use of samples, solid beats, syncopated Rhodes parts, the Canadian producer distils proper late night warehouse groove through your ears and body. The vinyl is out just in time for Christmas, get it while you can, this will definitely grow on you!

Landside is the collaboration between Italian producers Hunter/Game and the Icelandic band Kúra.

The corridor seemed endless as the bell buzzed in his ear. Leaving school was his favourite time of the day, such attention to detail in concentrated spells left him feeling numb and dry. As he walked through the wooden doors out into the daylight he could hear the sound of screams and chants from the nearby playground. He remembered the innocence of youth, back before exams, house parties and ate nights. He had never imagined himself to be a teacher, yet here he was lecturing the youth of tomorrow with the knowledge of today. Walking home he sighed. 

Scissorwork is set to release his first EP on the recently founded record label The Other Planet. He delivers four cuts of dreamy house and dusty grooves.

For its 225th release Freerange welcomes this exciting Austrian producer who goes by the name Demuja, you already know him if you follow closely LYO. His "Mary Janes Theory" record caused something of a stir when it came out at the start of the year on his fledgling vinyl-only label Muja. Taking his inspiration from classic deep house but with a rough and raw approach, Demuja sit proudly alongside the likes of Ross From Friends, Mall Grab or Rimbaudian riding the new wave of fresh, contemporary house.
On his Freerange debut, the Move EP offers up four original tracks, each with their own distinct flavour. Opening the release we have title track "Move" spring into action with simple Rhodes chords floating across a crisp, driving up-tempo groove showing off the deeper side to Demuja. Next up "B.o.o.m" offers us a simple yet captivating, dancefloor-focused affair with a lone, repeating piano stab hooking us into the action. Flipping over we have "Into My Brain" which brings some acid-tinged Italo vibes and a jacking beat to proceedings whilst the closing track "Turn Me On" cuts up a much-loved Paradise Garage classic for a warm, soul-infused slice of classic, bumpy house music.

PREMIERE : Demuja - Turn Me On

'Nyako' is 7th vinyl release at On the Corner and it's a big one. South African producer 'Behr' created 'Nyako' together with Makadem during a Santuri Safari session at Sondeka Festival in Kenya. 
The E.P is 4 cuts that build in brilliance from the original which has extremely broad appeal. Indian producer 'Daisho' delivers a straight ahead 4 x 4 house groover, south-London production duo Modified Man swing their analogue machines into action for a heady synth adventure, which is just a bit broken. Berlin-based duo of Dirk Leyers and DJ Nomad (Hans Reuschl) are the ideal pairing to merge technology and tradition together as AFRICAINE808 bring up the rear with a balearic sensation to round off the EP. 
Makadem is a talented musician and vibrant performing artist from Kenya. He's a figurehead of the Benga scene in Nairobi. His stage presence and powerful vocal delivery, had him likened to the legendary Fela Kuti. Makadem innovates by bringing traditional African instrumentation, story telling and contemporary production methods together.

Houses in Motion presents their fourth offering from their solo EP series, this time from Adelaide’s own Subjoi. Titled Flashing Lights (HIM004), this curation is a selection of woozy melodic House coated in a Lo-Fi patina. Vocal cuts and driving percussion permeate three original tunes exploring the scope of moods, from deep slow-burners to exploding dance floor starters. The title track edit, ‘Flashing Lights’, punctuates it all with oozing soulful vocal samples and a riff catchy in its simplicity. Here, Subjoi brings together four pieces of ol’ faithful type House joints for club rooms and easy listening alike.

Since swapping his guitar for a growing collection of synths and drum machines, Melbourne producer Wu Kush has been steadily building his reputation and repertoire in all realms of techno and electronic music. Under his aliases and collaborative projects JXTPS, Juxtpose, Sjazd and JDJX he has had releases on Suara, Planet Rhythm, Momentary and more, joining alumni such as Prins Thomas, James Welsh, Harvey Sutherland, Kirk Degiorgio, Matrixxman, Booka Shade, Vince Watson, DJ Hell and Catz n Dogz. 
He saves his funkiest grooves for Heard and Felt, now using the Wu Kush moniker for this side of his sound where he leans towards house, Detroit techno, electro funk and broken rhythms. Title track 'Xenomorph' drops big techno chords over layers of afro percussion and chants. Extra special treat comes in the form of a killer remix from London duo Modified Man (AKA Scrimshire and Deoke), following previous remixes of Wu Kush and Juxtpose from Opolopo, Christian Vance and Heard and Felt label boss Ennio Styles. The Modified Man remix keeps the essential percussion and chords from 'Xenomorph' yet totally reshapes the groove with a mellow broken beat and warm synths, then adding a surprise house twist late in the piece. This rework adds nicely to Modified Man's remixography which includes versions of Amp Fiddler, Dele Sosimi, Hector Plimmer, Ola Szmidt and Makadem & Behr.

These days they added an electronic touch and club history to their act.
Making it the most interesting show in Tel-Aviv of 2020’s.

The phone had been ringing off the hook all morning, each time he chose to ignore it. He'd debated unplugging it at the mains but the repercussions would be even worse than they already were. He knew that not answering wouldn't help him in the long run, but right now he couldn't face it. He would continue to live by the notion that what he didn't know couldn't hurt him.

Manchester party Off Beat make their first steps into the label world, launching a new platform to share their love of UK bass culture. For the inaugural outing, they've enlisted the talents of Breaka who's previous releases for Desert Sound Colony's Holding Hands, his own Breaka Recordings and Leeds' Stretchy Dance Supply have caused quite a stir since 2018. Titled The Startup, the two-tracker moves from UK bass grooves and warm subs on the A Side to jungle-inspired breaks on the flip; a perfect indicator of what we can expect from the newly-founded imprint in future.

A sound clash of genre-agnostic colourful “Uncharted Territories” EP finally follows-up with additional remixes. Jacques Satre from Worst Records brings his signature sound flip that makes “How Do You Called It” into Saint-Etienne’s chillout scene anthem. Five Rituals modifies “Eating Knives” into an experimental bass sound with half-time beat clocking into chugging tempo and weird Lithuanian pop figure appearing between powerful room shaking basslines. Shkema makes the most psychedelic version of "Eating Knives" so far. Phun Thomas revision got a fat acid facelift and “Thrillingly Twisted Uncharted Territories” by DJ JM is club-ready amen break dj tool revision to original. Finally, Jaroska revisits his own “Eating Knives” one more time to bring into the 80's territory with fuzzed guitars and lyrics that tells the hard truth about most common lifestyle in our club culture.

There was no sign of life. Looking around he could see little indication that there had ever been anything or anyone on this long forgotten planet. In the middle of the galaxy it floated silently, unobserved through the dense black of night. As he walked upon the surface of the great orb he watched as his feet sunk softly into the sand beneath - this was what he was looking for. The prized element X - it had been sought by science for many years but now he would be the one to bring it home.
