A thumping, harmony-laden alt rock tune reminiscent of Polyphonic Spree and Arcade Fire. An alternate lead vocal weaves through the bridge as the song builds from bare bones to a layered crescendo, before settling into an intimate outro of piano and intertwined voices.

"Death Only Sparkles" by The Dark Messiahs takes dark jazz to the edges of an atmospheric abyss. Sticks Thompson’s drums create an ominous pulse, while Wilt Flowers' bass rumbles like distant thunder. Guy Stansfield’s clarinet and Blue Six’s trumpet weave ghostly, plaintive melodies through the shadows. Sonny Rhodes' piano and keyboards balance the jazz core with eerie dark synth textures and unsettling sound effects, conjuring a soundscape where beauty flickers like light on broken glass. This is jazz reimagined for the noir future.

Death Only Sparkles [Dark Jazz | Doom Jazz]

Started the year off right in the virtual studio with my bandmates and #blabbuds from @bandlab.  Had a blast as per usual.  The idea, guitars and poetry come from @soundmindproject, the bass added by @dr_snave and our 2nd track with new drummer Dave @drummer1979. I added the melody and lead guitars.  It came together like it was meant to be.  Check it out and ENJOY!!!!
