When I saw these egrets climbing one by one the wall, it reminded me of this theme I wrote time ago just adding instruments.

Patrick/DjArtw2001 (@djartw2007) and I are glad to present our new track, "Sleep, My Boy (Extended Collaborative Version)". It is an extended collaborative version of my original composition released about a week ago, "Sleep, My Boy" (https://soundcloud.com/alexander-mihailov-96713983/sleep-my-boy).

The track was created on 4 July 2024 (initial composition in GarageBand iOS by Alex M), 13 July and 9 August 2024 (preliminary and final mix, respectively, of the initial composition in Logic Pro by Alex M) and 16 August 2024 (subsequent composition, additions, arrangements, transitions and final mix in MAGIX by Patrick/DjArtw2001). It was released here on SoundCloud on 18 August 2024 (by Alex M).

The artwork cover for the track in uses a photo taken by Alex M on 3 July 2024 that was cropped and annotated by him in Mac OS Preview on 17 August 2024 - in coordination and agreement with Patrick/DjArtw2001.

Forgotten Fields

To celebrate 2000, I took a year off to write songs, novels, plays, and stories - and I've been doing that since. At the end of my first year, I won first prize in the USA Songwriting Contest in the Lyric Category for 'Drum Machines and Beauty Queens.' This led to co-writing songs with many excellent musicians, including those represented in songs posted here. 

More recently, I was one of seven finalists in the Crisis Lyric Category of the 2021 UK Songwriting Contest for 'Lockdown Blues,' and one of nine nominees in the 2021 International Song Awards with 'Didn't the River Know' and 'Blue and Gold.'

For the past two years, I've been collaborating with many talented musicians on Kompoz. I release many of these songs here and compile the best into albums released under Captain Stormfield's Trip on Spotify and other platforms (see links below).
