Founded by Quarion and Hauke Freer (one half of Session Victim), the label simply intents to release quality dancefloor music: its roots span from Jazz to Drum n’Bass, its sound carries a modern House esthetic and its vision embodies the concept of “Techno” (as a forward-thinking music genre). Like a REAL postcard from an old friend, free espressos after a fine italian meal or an extra surprise record in the package from your favourite discogs dealer, RETREAT aims to be this ‘lil something you didn’t expect that puts a smile on your face…and moves your ass!

Niko Dalagelis aka "One of Them" has been entrenched in the electronic music scene for many years. In 2002 he moved back to the States and settled in New York. He studied Music and Economics at CCNY, which is located in the heart of Harlem. His education led to working on his first tracks. After having several early releases on labels like Dave Seaman’s, Audio Therapy, Chris Fortier’s Fade Records, Satoshi Tommie’s Saw Records, and many more.

In 2008 Niko started recording as One of Them and released numerous EPs on labels like Brooklyn’s Moodgadget Records, John Graham aka Quiver’s Boz Boz. Demand for remixes soon followed from labels like John Digweed’s Bedrock Records, Moodmusic and Brooklyn’s Wolf + Lamb. In 2010 Niko was also asked to compile and mix the Fade Records label DJ compilation ”Audio Tour 3”. Niko has also worked on a side project along with Ryan Cavanagh aka "Slow Hands" – “Wolf + Lamb” under the alias "Male Madame". Together they have had releases on labels like Tigers On A Leash and Fade records and worked on various live projects. His versatile sound is ranging from house, techno, ambient & experimental electronica and he has managed to establish himself as a well-respected artist in the electronic music industry earning him spots at the Okeechobbe Festival where he performed alongside Skrillex, Bonobo and Mamford and Sons, and gigs around the globe.

In 2020 Niko created his Record label Artificial Owl Recordings which is focused on ambient and experimental music and will be releasing vinyl globally.

Niko is also responsible for the music creation of Australia’s L'officiel Magazine videos featuring Sharon Stone, Brand Pitt, Jack Nicholson, Wyclef Jean and many more.

William Rauscher is a musician and sound artist in New York. He has released music as Night Plane since 2009 for labels including Rough Trade, No. 19, Culprit, Wolf + Lamb, Soul Clap, and CCC. He has remixed artists like Beach House, Warpaint, and Charli XCX. As a sound artist his projects include RRRR, a musical journal of Iceland, and the forthcoming City of Noise. William is co-founder of CCC.

DJ/Producer/Vinyl Freek. Mixing disco, house and more with wild abandon. And a whole lot of soul.
