Here is a recording of my set at Festivus this past summer. Festivus is a magical, intimate BC house music festival that I will always love and hopefully will never have to miss! Snuck in a couple bassier/hiphoppity tunes but I think it all flowed in the end. Hope you enjoy!

Growing up all over the world, and cutting her party teeth at a young age in the nightlife of Bristol and Madrid, this globe-trotting bitch has her finger perpetually on the pulse of the sexy underground.

Alex Mei pours her energy and soul into her sets. She is a malleable DJ and takes the listener on an enticing journey in every which direction. She is unpredictable in the best possible way. A skilled pianist, and a composer at heart, Miss Mei was exposed to dance music at a young, ripe, age, and she hit the dance floor shaking. Genre’s have no limits to Alex Mei, so she has labeled her mixing style as the ‘lizard twerk’. From residencies in Kelowna to heading up Blueprint’s Femme Fatal, she has played alongside and collaborated with a diverse array of artists from Datsik, Perkulat0r, Neon Steve, Addison groove, Featurecast, Dimond Saints, and Tokimonsta to name a few. Alex has taken her sleek bass style all over the map, from Costa Rica to Australia and back, headlining our Canadian festivals. She is ready to play to any crowd, on any equipment no matter how janky. Alex Mei has some tricks up her sleeve that you won’t want to miss.
