PNNY is a symbiotic force of seven vastly unique DJs originating from the tropical shores of Bali.

Founded in 2014, the collective has played a key role in shaping the island’s underground music scene. Known for their signature sound and genre-spanning DJ sets — from intimate beachside sessions to large-scale club nights — PNNY has become a driving force in Bali’s nightlife.

These seven individuals — TodaysRenaissance (Gilang Asmara), Dubwill (William Wahyu), Alex Verdacchi, Andy Chunes, Trigan Young, Equalwho (Ekky Suryanegara), and Daffabedamned — are not merely selectors; they are masters of chaos, each bringing their own distinct style, energy, and sound to the decks. Together, they weave a tapestry of love-infused disco and house, punctuated by the beats of techno, rave, and bass music.

The collective’s reputation extends far beyond Bali. PNNY has brought BOILER ROOM not once, but twice, and are responsible for bringing HOR BERLIN to the island. They’ve also toured extensively across Europe, playing at some of the continent’s most respected venues and festivals, including Awakenings, Gabricz, Blitz, Café Soda, Shelter, Love International, Thuishaven, and many more.

Back home, you’ll find them behind the booth at Desa POTATO HEAD’s bi-monthly sessions, the infamous Luigi’s Hot Pizza Metto Monday, and La Brisa’s monthly series Basement Love X PNNY — a stage that’s hosted industry heavyweights like DJ Koze, Denis Sulta, Giegling, Theo Parrish, Octa Octa, Roi Perez, Eris Drew, ATA, Haai, Cromby, and Multisex.

PNNY has also expanded into food and fashion with the launch of PNNY Bites and House of PNNY, continuing to blur the lines between music, art, and lifestyle.

The main goal of this project is to promote all kinds of dub, reggae, jungle and other experimental styles of music. Hey, Gareth here, I'm a graphic designer who start designing for clubs, parties, and labels in the late 90s. Back then, mix CDs were the holy grail of both design and music. I loved them.

But I wasn't the only one, mix cds were the soundtracks of our nights, our days, our afterparties and lives, for everyone. Yet in today's internet age, the art form has been lost (or just changed) to 2-3 hour online mixes and streaming videos, which just don't create the same magic your CD collection did. Just 60 minutes of music and incredible artwork.

The Classic Mix CD Series celebrates these discs, their soundtrack, their box art and your memories. We hope you enjoy it.

About Gareth:
Digital creative type, gamer, music lover and occasional DJ. Currently living between Dubai & Seoul after setting sail from Sunderland in 2010. As a young designer, club and music culture was the driving force for his work, producing artwork for local club nights and record labels in the North East of England. In particular, DJ mix cds and their packaging were always his 'holy grail of design', especially those from Renaissance, Global Underground and Good Looking Records. It's a pleasure to share these discs back with people and they still influence our tastes to this day.
