Artificio proudly unveils Crisis de Significado, a genre-blurring EP by Æon Series, also known as Aeondelit. This sonic tapestry weaves electronica, alternative rock, trip-hop, ambient, and trap into a captivating exploration across five tracks. With a deliberate focus on anti-narrative composition, Sergio challenges listeners to rethink the very essence of art—stripped of conventional meanings and embracing raw emotion. The homonymous track stands as a profound embodiment of this philosophy, a collaborative creation with multidisciplinary artist Aixa Echeverry, enriching the exploration of art beyond its traditional confines. 

Crafted predominantly with vocals, synths, and samples processed through reverbs and delays, Crisis de Significado manifests an eclectic, emotional, colorful, and dynamic sound. Æon Series, describing his approach as a pursuit of art for art's sake, seamlessly aligns with movements like abstractionism and expressionism. In a world veering towards nihilism and a meaning crisis, this EP emerges as a beacon, inviting audiences to experience the purest form of artistic expression—emotionally naked and detached from narrative constraints.

It's a privilege to welcome Andy martin to Cozi

Andy @andy-martin is a Mexican Jamaican electronic artist who mixes up sci-fi techno and Latin Caribbean sounds with a futuristic edge. A key part of his native scene and someone right at the vanguard in Latin America with an established career over a decade. His most recent album “Antiguos Astronautas” is a musical exploration between the sounds of techno and native American futurism narrative. 
Andy has been a huge inspiration for Cozi creator softi with his deep, cutting edge, out of the box productions, molding Latin rhythms into weird electronic choppy synths, so it was a must to have him curate this dynamic but slowly paced mix leading us into the unknown. Expect a real thought provoking, body moving 90min mix with unreleased sounds from himself and beyond.. 

Cozi questions below.....

1. How and why did you get into producing / dj’ing?

I started DJing because I became interested in electronic music, for me it was the most futuristic sounds I had ever heard, so DJing became the way I could share all this music that I really liked with others. I found a lot of joy in doing it. As a producer, I was always interested in technology and music, so being able to combine both was the perfect match for me, away to express myself with machines.

2. Who, What/where was your most coziest gig you've been to or experienced and why?
As a DJ, I will never forget when I played in side a cave in the middle of the jungle in the Mayan area in Mexico about a decade ago. The place was so remote and special that the whole vibe was amazing. Also,I remember attending a festival that happened in an old colonial city in Mexico and Robert Henke played an ambient, dubby, experimental live set in a quadraphonic set up in a public park while all of the attendees were the grass. That was magical.

3. Do you consider yourself an introvert or extrovert in the industry?
I'm totally both. I really enjoy the company of friends,meeting new people and exploring new places. However,I also really enjoy spending time alone.As a DJ,I am definitely not the kind with the hands in the air or a performer. I actually really enjoy gigs where there is almost no light and the music experience becomes very intimate and the main element.

4. If you had to choose 1 track to vibe out too forever, what would it be?
Peace Orchestra-Who am I 
This track is part of the soundtrack of the animated movie Animatrix, which was a significant influence for me both sonically and in my fascination for cyberpunk and technology with in the Matrix universe.

5. What is your routine when preparing for a gig / production/writing session? Do you have any special remedies/ mental/physical prep/ places to go to? :)

For a gig, I usually picture the environment of the venue where I'm playing and create playlists a few days before hand. I include a wide variety of music so I can go in different directions depending on the current situation. Just before the gig I always enjoy having dinner with friends or the people involved in the party, having some drinks, and chilling for a bit. In my personal experience with production I've found that the best approach for me is not to plan or schedule dedicated production time.I've discovered that my best productions happen when I spontaneously find a moment during the day to go to the studio and sketch an idea without any expectations.The absence of pressure to create something specific gives me a better flow of creativity

Artificio’s cofounders, Passq (fka Arcane Prospect) and Rainmaker, take their sound in bold new directions with a four-track EP that mixes raw energy with sharp, forward-thinking production. Kicking off with «Midas Touch», Rainmaker blends his techno and ambient roots with fresh ideas, setting the tone for what’s to come—deep basslines and rich atmospheres that hint at his past while pushing into new territory.

Passq follows with «Sin Perse» and «Randy», where intricate sound design, distorted rhythms, and heavy bass are combined with a touch of dark humor. The EP closes with «Amour Fou», a “hyperbass” track, filled with both longing and optimism, echoing a desire for transformation.

A Fuego Y A Fondo is Artificio's statement of intent—a fierce commitment to pushing sound to its edges, challenging norms, and keeping dance music untamed.

andy has such a distinctive sound, it’s so easy to recognise one of his tracks in a mix as he bridges together his mexican and jamaican roots through a futuristic style that spans across techno and dub leaning towards rich textural influences. it’s honestly quite hard for me to go a mix or radio show without including one of his andy’s tracks. his output is strong with his first release out in 2009 and has been steady ever since! whether that’s self-released, via his imprint mole audio, that he runs alongside didier dlb and where you’ll find collaborations with lee scratch perry and gavsborg, via labels such as ssensorial and discos movimiento or his ambient works which have led to andy performing in musuems, art galleries and festivals like mutek. there’s a touch of andy martin in every corner.

Lo fugaz nos gobierna; lo profundo ya no tiene tiempo.

¿Quién escucha hoy un álbum de principio a fin?
Hubo días en que nos sentábamos frente al estéreo, dejándonos llevar por cada segundo de un casete o un disco completo. No sé si sea nostalgia lo que refleja este mix; más bien lo siento como la realidad actual manifestándose de todas las formas posibles y recordándome lo pequeño y obsoleto que a veces me percibo.

¿Debo seguir otro camino? ¿Existen más caminos? ¿O es que no sé hacer otra cosa y por eso me siento atrapado? Tal vez debería quedarme más años en mi trabajo, hasta descubrir en qué soy realmente bueno… pero no puedo darme ese lujo. Las rodillas duelen, me cuesta dormir, el cabello se cae y las visitas al doctor se vuelven frecuentes. Todo a mi alrededor corre más rápido que yo.

Eso pensé mientras componía Más Allá, un track de 13 minutos. Una ironía en estos tiempos donde lo breve manda, pero siempre me ha gustado ir a contracorriente. Lo hice porque amo hacerlo, porque ahí encuentro una forma de libertad. Este Anhedonia ha sido el más largo de todos en gestarse. Y aunque fue un proceso duro, estoy feliz con el resultado. Escuchar los volúmenes anteriores, llegar hasta este Vol. 3 y notar el progreso de mi sonido… eso no tiene precio.

Pocos lo saben, pero estos volúmenes nunca salen en tracks individuales, y este no será la excepción. Tal vez con el tiempo cambie y lleguen a plataformas, pero por ahora así será el formato y pues solo me queda agradecerles. Gracias por escuchar mi música, por apoyarme y por estar presentes en mis presentaciones. Con lágrimas en los ojos y el corazón latiendo fuerte, se los digo de verdad: gracias.

Este volumen también tiene una dedicatoria especial.
Donde quiera que estés, papá: feliz cumpleaños.
A Cherra, uno de mis más grandes admiradores:
espero que este mix te haga bailar, estés donde estés.
Y también, a todas las personas que han perdido la vida simplemente
por haber nacido en un país en guerra.

Por último, sé que el mundo a veces se siente insoportable, y duele no poder hacer mucho detrás de una pantalla. Pero ayuda a quien puedas. Abraza a quien lo necesite. Y recuerda, como canta Maxi Jazz: “Baila por la vida”.
