I wrote this piece a while ago, a kind of celebration after I overcome my fear of flying :)

Around the world

When I revealed to my companions where our path now lies, they were horrified, but, obeying my order, they boarded the ship and we sailed to the far north. The sorceress Kirka sent us a fair wind. He quickly drove our ship. Finally, we reached the waters of the gray Ocean and landed on the coast of the sad country of the Cimmerians, where the god Helios never shines for people. This country is forever covered with cold fog, the night gloom always envelops it in a thick veil.

when the night disappeared 
the coming day was different.  
maybe it wasn't clear to you in the morning, 
but with the memory returning, 
the new day became paler and more spent.  

and where once have been green meadows 
now stands a dark fortress

failed in the task of protecting you

Revenge is a human feeling

Now I'm standing here in front of your prison 
trying to convince you to swap places with them 
That they should bear the burden of their deed 
and let you go.  but you dare not do so

Movement 1 of a 5 movement piano-focused piece, titled "Rye." This movement is a ballet of sorts. The hands represent two individuals, at first hesitant and reluctant towards one another. This develops into loftier ideas and more interactions with one another, albeit with stumbles. Yet it doesn't go anywhere, and drift occurs and eventually a barrier forms. The movement ends with attempts to break this barrier by one character, but it is ineffective and the character is forced to accept the current state of affairs. That's at least simply how I see it, but you can see it however you want. If something different works for you, then that's what it is.
