As 2022 comes to a close, I have to confess that I feel the most positive and excited about the future than I've felt in...well, maybe ever. It was one of the most challenging years of my life, but I feel like I've come out on the other side. I don't just see the light at the end of the tunnel, I feel like I'm coming out of the tunnel itself, ready to meet 2023 with excitement and a lot of enthusiasm. I thank my friends, my community, my tribe and a lot of love directed at me for all of it. 

This music reflects that sense of optimism for me. It's based more on traditional house than what I usually spin, but the songs on this mix just kind of came to me. Where I usually labor over a mix...this one just flowed. One take. Less agonizing. More flow. 

And with all that said, I wish for all of you listening a 2023 of beauty, love, growth, great sex, friendship, and community...of challenges met squarely and successfully...and of course, ridiculously great music and dancing.

Recorded this one for the drive to lovely Buena Vista, CO to witness a few dear friends tie the knot. On my continued quest to learn the craft o-djing on the rotary mixer and CDJ's.  Month 4 of the new hobby. 

This vibe is House. A little house, latin house, afro house, hip-hop vibes -- all my favorite flavors of house. 

Each time I tinker and record, I learn a bit more about what NOT to do and what is working.

alice.km trusts her instincts. In truth, the nascent DJ, producer, and songwriter has never done anything but. Her instincts got her started on the decks, defined her ethereal production style, and guided her all around the world doing what has only ever felt like a need: playing music. 

In 2016, her instincts led her to her first DJ gig in Brooklyn, New York, and not long after, she was playing at major venues in NYC like Elsewhere and The Rosewood Theater. She then began organizing her own tours of the West Coast of the United States, stopping in at legendary spaces like Avalon Hollywood and celebrated festivals like Dusk Music Festival. She’s also spread her wings internationally, being featured on two prominent London radio stations: Netil Radio and BMC Radio.

Now her instincts have brought alice.km to her current home of Phoenix, Arizona, where she is slowly but surely taking over the scene. In her present city, she has supported revered artists and parties like Anjunadeep’s Simon Doty and Drumcode’s Phoenix takeover, and she’s been selected to play at major events like June Jam Music and Art Festival. 

Having only started producing in 2020 when the pandemic closed all events, she’s now signed to labels like Fantastic Voyage, Circus Recordings, Lady of the House, and Delusional Records, crafting her unique sound that paints pictures as well as it induces dance moves
