Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, it can be hard to attach Jonás' widespread musical prowess to just one niche in music production. Inside the dominican independent scene he is known for having produced, arranged, composed, dj'd and even sung and directed his own live bands, all over genres like jazz, rnb, soul, latin, urban, afro-caribbean, hip hop, house, minimal, among many other rhythms, styles and fusions.

It all started back in 2011 with electronic music when he started djing for friends and nibbling on the edm scene as a teenager. Little did he know that this would be the birth -or discovery- of his now almost decade-long fascination for melody and harmony. There was no coming back from music production as he became addicted to the interface and facilities that the world of DAW's provided for his ideas when he started remixing tracks from other artists. 

Three years later he was already composing, recording, arranging and singing in his own original songs, some of which caught the attention of a couple radio stations from the country and were recgonized as one of the best and most spontaneous of the scene in the 2010-2020 decade despite his lack of ambition, management and business structure. The next year he founded and directed his own live latin-pop band and served as its frontman. 

In 2016 he enrolled in the country's first private music school in a university, which widened his focus on a more realistic view of what can be done to live off his passion in a country that places constant hurdles for independent artists of his kind. That same year he started a small personal project to recollect his underground electronic music abilities and quickly became one of the country's most resilient minimal music collectors.

He is currently busy working on his full-time endeavour as a musician.
