I rhyme words on beats. Sometimes in the studio, sometimes on stage.

And I say shit they don't want us to say.

There is a chance that the first full-length collaborative album from Royce Da 5’9 and DJ Premier, as PRhyme, will be under-appreciated. That it will be too artistic. That the skill displayed in both its lyricism and production will go over people’s heads. That an album that can be played all the way through and celebrated for its true Hip-Hop makeup is too much of a throwback for today’s 120-character absorbed music lover. But sometimes you have to take a leap of faith.

Ansley Joye Jones aka “Jukeboxx” is a full-time multidisciplinary artist, dancer and dance
scholar, Official U.S. Cultural Ambassador, hip hop feminist, and women’s rights activist. Born
and raised in Augusta, Georgia she began her journey as an artist at the age of eight. She holds a
BFA in Visual and Performing Arts from Savannah State University (2008) and an MA in
American Dance Studies (2011) from Florida State University. On shaping her career, she
considers her performance on “Showtime at the Apollo Theater” in 2006 as one of her most
challenging experiences. This eye-opening view into the commercial realm of dance changed her
focus to a more academic approach. She decided to further her dance career in graduate school.
In 2014 Jones traveled to India as a cultural ambassador for the “Next Level Program,” then
returned in 2016 with “Cultural Vistas,” a U.S. State Department urban arts program, “Celebrate
the Connections.” In 2015 Jones received a creative performing arts fellowship from The
American Institute of Indian Studies (AIIS) for her 2017 project, “The Jukeboxx Movement’s
program the “From Surviving to Thriving.” This program was geared towards creating safe-
spaces for survivors of gender-based violence through hip hop culture and cultural artistic
expression.
Jones’ most recent accomplishments include her acceptance of keynote speaker for New College
of Florida’s “Black Joy” symposium 2018 where she rapped her keynote speech on
environmental violence. Her article “Bgirls As Drag Kings,” was published February 15 th 2018 in
an American dance anthology with the University of Florida Press entitled “Perspectives on
American Dance: The New Millennium.” This year she performed at the 10 th annual celebration
of Women and Girls August 2020 and a panel discussion on sexual assault in the street dance
community September 26 th 2020.
She has seven albums including “The Assault Mixtape, Therapy Sessions , The Process,
Milligrams of My Mind, The Juke Joint, The Intercession, and Reflections.” Joye is currently
researching Native American Dance and working on her 8 th album, “Kali Yuga” to be released
2021.

A hip-hop collective formed in 2016 by MC's based in different parts of Pakistan. An antithesis to the generic commercial rap dominating their country, Daranti Group is influenced by the boom-bap sounds of old school east coast hip-hop, complimented with some relevant influences from other localities & eras.
