A Few Minutes In Front Of The Bus Stop.

My music pieces are all piano improvisations expressing emotions. It is music telling stories without the words. In my earIy years I sang and played piano in piano bars or fronted bands of different styles, from country to heavy metal and to 40. I've been composing, teaching and performing most of my life.  I'm getting old(er) now 😔 but the great thing about creating music is it gets better the longer you play, and you have more to write about! 

This is what I leave of me to my generations to come who wonder where their desire to make music comes from. My mother, grandmother and great grandmother were both accomplished pianists when they were young. My son is also exceptional.  My great grandmother and gr grandfather sang and danced in minstrel shows (vaudeville) in the early 1900's. Kids today have no idea what life was like before moving pictures.  I now have great-grandchildren. They will know who I am through my music. When I am gone my music will still be here. What a wonderful thought!

Best described as eclectic, my style is a soothing mix mirroring my personality: mostly mellow with the occasional outburst. Although I have a background in classical piano I have always loved to create and improvise.  Since early childhood I have been trying to duplicate on the piano what I hear in my head.  Now I see how formal studies and improvisation fit together perfectly. I hope to always keep growing and learning, reflecting the beauty of Christ in all my endeavors. Based in Montréal, MPB is a project regrouping a myriad of musical styles and offering a sweet collection of instrumental beats and tracks. Every piece is composed, played and produced by myself in the cozy atmosphere of my living room and surrounded by good vibes! 💜

I am a very big fan of instrumental beats (chillhop, triphop, lo-fi), post rock and progressive music, but to be fully honest, I’m passionate by music and everything that revolves around it!

Graphic artist, writer, and just a budding musician.

Playing piano is my daily therapy against stress. That also repels the rodents that attempt to squat my attic in winter !

As an insomniac, I mainly play at night. Each improvisation is like a snapshot of my mood and state of mind of the instant.

I record almost everything I play. From time to time one of these improvisations inspires me enough, and I use it as a basis for a composition.

Haleen is a realization of a Belgian husband and wife duo. They operate from an off-grid setting in Portugal and have created their own unique genre of music. Their sound is highly recognizable and their music is inspired by their energy shift and transformation of consciousness. Their music is mind-opening, hypnotic, and uplifting. Hans's musical journey commenced at a very young age! After attending several rock concerts, he was inspired to take the stage himself and purchased his first electric guitar at the age of 15. In this captivating musical narrative, Hans emerges as an artist who not only mastered diverse genres but seamlessly blended them to create a symphony that transcends boundaries. The echoes of his journey linger in the distinctive and innovative notes of a genre uniquely his own.

Kath's musical journey may not boast a lengthy history, but it's a tale of profound transformation. With minimal musical exposure in her past, Kath underwent a radical overnight shift in her musical taste—from indulging in the greatest hits of mainstream artists across genres like Disco, Rock 'n' Roll, and Metal to immersing herself in the captivating realms of Electronic Dance Music.

Her musical evolution reflects a seismic change, transcending traditional boundaries and embracing a diverse array of sounds. Kath's current musical palette is a testament to her newfound appreciation for artists who resonate with a powerful energy, aligning seamlessly with the transformative force of their shared kundalini experience. In this chapter of her musical exploration, Kath is drawn to the enchanting sounds of Sam Garrett, Mose, Peia, Yaima, Ajeet, and more—artists whose melodies synchronize perfectly with the evolving rhythms of her journey.
