The peloton (from French, literally meaning little ball or platoon.  Most used to describe the large main group of riders in a road bicycle race, such as the Tour De France.

Riders in a group   save energy by riding close (drafting or slipstreaming) near(particularly behind) other riders. The peloton is not unlike the Northwest’s techno scene, which is now a recognized global force, with events such as the Decibel Festival importing top talent to the region, while Seattle, Portland and Vancouver return the favor by exporting planeloads of renowned and emerging producers among the various collectives.  

Driven by a shared purpose and a sense of community, the scene has thrived in recent years, becoming both a wellspring for new talent and a must-play date for any touring artist. 

Founded in this fertile environment, Peloton Musique aims to hold “techno” to its word – that it should be less of a “genre” than a new philosophy of music and sound, and a new way of thinking about their role in our lives.
 
“We want to create music for environments, for a specific time and place, as sonic theatre,” says Schoppert. “At the same time, community is one of our guiding principles – we want to be more than the s um of our parts supporting each other in the slipstream.”

I am a resident of Phoenix, AZ and I have been playing and experimenting with records and gear since 1990.  I love all kinds of techno.  Some of my favorite artists and labels are:  Subhead-RIP Sueme, C. Vogel, old school Disko B, Labworks, old school Beroshima/Acid Orange, Network 23-RIP Curley, Aphex Twin of course, Acid Wars, T.P.H., Unit Moebius, Jerome Pacman, Chris Carrier, so basically a wide variety of stuff.  I am mostly gear driven, I have a mixture of Analog and Digital sound.  I am a bedroom artist, wanting to get out of my bedroom!  I have a long ways to go and I am only 38yrs old, times a ticken.  I have dream to some day live in Germany, I love the country and her people, they have always been good to me.

Throughout his career, Sean has shared stages with an eclectic array of international talent, performing alongside luminaries such as Moby, Major Lazer, Richie Hawtin, Grimes, Ben Klock, Four Tet, Maceo Plex, Moodymann, Duke Dumont, Modeselektor, DARKSIDE, Boys Noize, Maya Jane Coles, Trentemoller, Green Velvet, Moderat, MK, Gui Boratto, Monolake, Theo Parrish, The Orb, DJ Tennis, Justin Martin, Roman Flugel, and Motor City Drum Ensemble. He has also graced renowned music festivals worldwide, including Dimensions in Croatia, MUTEK in Montreal, Movement in Detroit, Decibel in Seattle, and Desert Hearts in Southern California.

Sean's creative pursuits extend beyond the stage. Currently, he divides his time between Los Angeles and Joshua Tree, where he owns and operates GHOSt (Golden Hour Oasis Studios). This innovative sanctuary serves as a haven for artistic exploration and is a testament to Sean's dedication to nurturing and amplifying the talents of emerging and established artists alike.

With his unwavering commitment to pushing boundaries and bridging technology with artistic endeavors, Sean continues to leave an indelible mark on the music industry, inspiring countless individuals and shaping the course of electronic music for years to come.
