Smack bang in the middle of a pandemic after almost a year of no gigs, Lachy Doley decided to get all his favourite people together and record and film something really special.
On his 43rd birthday they played 2 big sets in front of an audience of 20 at Sydney’s iconic Studios 301. A four piece horn section, three piece vocal section, his brother Clayton guesting on piano, two feature lead tracks one by Mahalia Barnes and one by Karen Lee Andrews. All together a killer 14 piece band and a new highlight of Lachy’s career.

Recently I awoke to a SC link in my mailbox.  What is this??!! To my utter delight, Oddrun, Arne & Peter surprised me with this wonderful musical gift.  The original piano track was to be a "someday" project between Oddrun and me, but this is triple the fun!  Thank you Oddrun, Arne and Peter not only for remodeling my orphan track, but more importantly for this wonderful gift of friendship.

Can we turn the tide?

A diminutive woman in her 7th decade, Laurie is a dynamo of personality and energy living an outsized life as she still works, loves to travel, and when home, playing in our church band as a guitarist and sharing music as a multi-instrumentalist.  She is also a personal hero in how she powered through chemo, invasive surgery, then radiation to arrest the progress of a rare cancer.  She would tell you it was by the Grace of God, but I would quickly add He worked in concert with her faith and "joie de vivre" of which she has an abundance.  Not knowing what to give her for her birthday and Christmas (a month apart), I gave her a song with her band nickname as the title.  For you, "Laurie Lou" my dear friend, guitar sister, and bandmate:)

I've called it Alternative Fusion and it was inspired by just how quickly your day can change from enjoying the moment to utter chaos and pain. Accidents happen often when one loses focus and takes life for granted. For example: when washing the dishes, whilst thinking of something else and breaking a glass, and when picking up the broken pieces, cutting one's finger and can't get the blood to stop poring out. 'Shadows In Fallen Clouds' Chemtrails are covering our skies worldwide daily. These chemtrails contain a mixture of chemicals and heavy metals. Most of the worlds population appear to think that these chemtrails are clouds or contrails and some are even oblivious to their very existence. However I am not and am well aware that what is being sprayed artificially in the upper atmosphere, won't stay there for long and will soon succumb to gravity. So then these chemtrails start to fall to earth, with their pollutant toxins. We are then breathing these in and eating the food produced from the contaminated ground and drinking the water. 
My track then 'Shadows In Fallen Clouds' is my protest to this assault on the earth and every living thing on it.
