After few years Novakk returns to Sincopat with a 4 original track mini album plus
a great remix by Armonica, this release is called Bridges, bridges that unite the 
different music styles that constitute it.
Opening the EP we find Digital Anxiety, an allusion to the social networks that 
have enslaved us and exposed us to the world, with no possibility of escape, 
sometimes leading us to personal bewilderment. We are addicted to this frenzy, 
like the feeling of listening to tracks like this one, which turns us into frenzied 
fireflies duped by the city lights.
We are the future speaks about the current transition we are going through and 
about our increasing dependence on technology. 
Inspired by the Italian-disco sound, with an acid bassline, an arpeggio and pads 
like video game sounds the track has a futuristic touch, which turn it into an 
explosion of flavours for the dance floor, while a robotic vocal announces us that 
we will be the machines' prey. 
The Italian duo Armonica takes the helm of the ship with a more indie version 
for the remix of We are the future, loaded with more acoustic textures and 
percussions but without losing the futuristic and retro essence of the original 
track. 
The album's third original Prosopagnosia envelops us in a dark blanket of rhythm.
Metallic elements in the percussions and tremolos in the toms that hit us without 
contemplation until we get into the eye of the hurricane. A musical whirlwind that 
leaves us unable to recognize the faces of those around us.
A good closing will always be remembered, that's why we leave Feel for the end. 
Influenced by the industrial electronica of London in the 2000s, this track leads us 
through a labyrinth of emotions that make us show ourselves to the world as we 
really are, pure feeling. 3.38 min of sonic pleasure with an extended mix for those 
who venture to play it.

PREMIERE: Dee Montero - Satori [Futurescope]

Resurrection is diverse and immersive, and it sets the mood immediately, creating lush synth-based soundscapes over some electrifying beat patterns. The song has a strong and intense punch to it, but it still feels silky and warm in terms of soundscapes and mood. The track highlights the energy that drives SAINT’s music, but also his focus on creating detailed and nuanced soundscapes.
There is nothing quite like the energy of a good contemporary melodic techno production, and this track by SAINT really nails that vibe, capturing the interest of the listeners from the moment they hit the play button. This new track is a strong indication of greater things to come from SAINT, and it’s a sign that people should have this artist on their radar.

Gorje Hewek follows up last year’s impressive ‘Life EP’, with a new 5-track package brimming with collaborative spirit. The work also marks the Watergate label debut of the legendary Hernan Cattaneo.
 
The artist is a mainstay of the All Day I Dream collective and a master of intricately woven electronic compositions, which also transfix the dancefloor. For his return contribution to Watergate Records he brings a string of cohorts in toe – Dulus, Polo & Molac from his excellent Shanti Records imprint, alongside ADID affiliate Roy Rosenfeld and Argentinean great Cattaeno.
 
The opener ‘Altitude’ is a dreamy bass-driven heater that unfolds beautifully over an eight-minute period and is highlighted by a key driven melody that’s both playful and emotive. ‘Astro World’ is an eclectic slice of organic house that captivates with a string-laden break before dropping down into a rhythmic second half. Following in the tradition of excellence set by Progressive Revelations (Volume 1) in 2023, this new collection showcases the breadth and depth of the label's sound and features some of its most notable artists. Indeed, Progressive Revelations Volume 2 features tracks and remixes from some of the most notable and exciting artists in the world of progressive dance music. Inspired By Trees begins 2019 by welcoming Jelly For The Babies to the label for his debut single entitled ‘Faded Memories’. The Serbian artist had a strong 2018, highlighted by releases on Balkan Connection, Low Pressings, Submarine Vibes and his own One Of A Kind and The Purr Music imprints. Jelly For The Babies’ diverse style has made him a favourite amongst a broad range of top tier tastemakers including Hernan Cattaneo, Mark Knight and Eelke Kleijn. Now beginning the new year with one of this most anticipated singles to date, Jelly For The Babies debuts on Inspired By Trees alongside remixes from DAVI and Paege.

Known for sitting in a creative space between deep and progressive house, Jelly For The Babies crafts another cross pollinated gem in ‘Faded Memories’. Entrancing soundscapes combined with a sub heavy groove and strong rhythmic elements set the piece in motion. Fading to prominence, tasteful chord stabs steal the air, allowing you to get lost in a myriad of cosmic vibrations. Warm shades and subtle tones resonate at the core of the piece, building slowly with charismatic charm, before icy pads highlight a seductive finale.

The first interpretation of ‘Faded Memories’ is provided by DAVI who also makes his label debut here. Widely regarded for his groovy organic sound, the Armenia born, Los Angeles based artist has carved out a unique place in the electronic underground. Releases on esteemed imprints such as Anjunadeep, Crosstown Rebels, Rebellion and his own DELYSID imprint have all been sensational, leading to both critical and commercial success. Now making a welcome debut on Inspired By Trees, DAVI’s vivid imagination and keen sense of club dynamics opens ‘Faded Memories’ up to a wider range of dance floors. The ebb and flow of its energy is engaging, as a rolling full bodied groove, redemptive rhythms and redolent textures unite in perfect harmony, for a soulful journey into deep, percussive house.

The release concludes with Inspired By Trees boss Paege returning to the label and providing the final interpretation of ‘Faded Memories’. Hailing from Baden, the Swiss artist has been passionate about electronic music for over two decades. One off gigs at clubs and festivals shaped his DJ career early on, before settling into a residency at Kiste Club in 2012. Now focusing more of his creative energy on Inspired By Trees, Paege looks to nurture the label and build a cohesive roster of artists bound by a love for music. Having made his production debut in July of last year with the ’70/50 Chance’ single, Paege now returns to his home imprint with a stunning rendition of ‘Faded Memories’ to round out the release in style. Following the ethos of the original we’re welcomed with a warm rolling groove and grainy effects. A wispy atmospheric haze carries the piece as foreboding swells and hopeful pads sit in tasteful sonic divergence. Percussive clusters and boundless drive continue to build momentum, before ghostly pads descend over the framework for a haunting finale. A superb interpretation from Paege which caps off what is an auspicious beginning to 2019 for Inspired By Trees, who are most certainly a label to be following as the year takes shape.

Exclusive Pontias 'From Nowhere (Ivory Thrilling Rework)'

With just six releases in and founded in early 2019 Récits de Mars can definitely be considered as a 'rookie label', but fortunately this status does not reveal anything about the label's quality. As the year comes to an end Récits de Mars drops Pontias', one part of Jules & Moss, six tracker 'OCD', consisting of four original tracks and remixes from co-label founder Several Definitions for 'Obsessive Compulsive Disorder' and Ivory. The latter took on remix duties for 'From Nowhere' and delivers one beautiful take that meets people's Pre-Christmas mood by strongly supporting their harmonious needs as well as the predominating feeling of melancholia. Ivory sweetly implements the happiness seeking vocal but at the same time reduces its appearance to enforce an addiction. A lush bass line in combination with gloomy chords that are again and yet again cracked like hazels from a nutcracker emphasize the aforementioned feelings and turn Ivory's 'Thrilling Rework' of 'From Nowhere' to one of these tracks that you want to hear over and over again.

Pontias' EP 'OCD' will be released on Récits de Mars on December 6th, 2019.
