Sam I Am Montolla is a singer/songwriter. She writes honest and from the soul, she touches on RnB, Hip Hop,Funk, Gospel, AfroRhythmic, all in all Soul Music. This comes with her knowledge as a well-known Hip Hop dancer and Waacker as well as singing with "The Montreal Jubilation Gospel Choir" and and Gospel trio "Revelation III".
Starting off 2019, SAMIAM MONTOLLA is the Songwriter Resident for the Dawson City Music Festival. She has performed in different venues in the city, such as the Montreal Reggae Festival 2009, was the Featured Artist for the Songwriters' Association of Canada in 2012 and was currently one of the main artists featured for a TV special, MAtv's "Studios, Lofts and Jam Spaces" in April 2017. She has worked with Shash’U (Fool's Gold/Joy Ride), her 1st EP "Made Her" he produced, you can hear her voice in his works and MC/ Procduer Jai Nitai Lotus, where she is featured on his Mixtape "Acknowledgement" and the single "Life Support".  She is a main member of Improv collective "Kalmunity". Sam I Am continues to be a pillar in the movement, staying connected and teaching in the community. 
She has currently put out her next project, INTRO TO INDIGO Mixtape. Came out this May 2019! It has gotten a great response, with a "Projet De La Semaine" mention in VOIR and has been on the Palmeres Adisq Radio Campus list from June 18-July 8th. She was also one of your finalist for the People's Choice Awards 2019 for Toronto Funk and Soul Festival with the track "I Get My Funk". She is diving into producing, recording and mixing, giving more range in her creations.
