DJ and producer of downtempo, midtempo, trip-hop, ambient house, techno, old school acid, and remixes.  Spinning since '89, he is a member of various SF Bay Area DJ crews and has done remix and production work with the likes of Rowetta from Happy Mondays, as well as fronting his band Hope Chest since 1992.  Always melodic, always psychedelic, always groovy.

Ever since he started out alongside Rivers Cuomo in the eighties power-metal band The Avant-Garde, Kevin Ridel has made a name for himself as a renowned songwriter and purveyor of exceptional melodies. In the nineties with Ridel High and through the new millennium with Peel and AM Radio, Kevin has been the guiding hand behind several albums that are acknowledged alternative/ power pop classics.
