Lil Beenie - Sunset Whispers

This track is A celebration of lifelong human connection.
A long awaited collaboration between Ixi and Ness formerly of the Horsedrawn Hardcore.  Ness plays Fiddle.
Their collaborations previously consisted of fireside jams or inner city busking - the collaboration then between fiddle and whistle.
In 1997 they first attempted to sample the violin into the Spiral Akal 1100 - at the Near Year party at Tores Vedras in Portugal. The sample still exists but the idea stayed dormant, probably due to the technology of the time being insufficiently advanced to get the fiddle in time. 

The name is taken from a fusion of our two names but also has a double meaning.
The suffix "ness" in English is used to denote a quality or state of being.
In this case the quality or state of being Ix, which is something I have to deal with on a daily basis. It could also be used to describe my unique and recognizable sound which is here paired perfectly with the earthy sounds of Ness’s violin.

Retro Rings

Neurotic Drum Band remix of Chris Carter's 1985 track 'Moonlight', taken from the forthcoming release on Optimo Music. Other tracks include a remastered original version and a brooding Oneohtrix Point Never remix.

Please note that the tracks aren't remixes but rather reinterpretations as there were no parts to work with and they had to start from scratch.

Drawing on a spectrum of influences, the Leipzig based musician melts reimagined house with broken beats, blends Eastern acid aromatics with jazz abstractions and achieves a sound that is stunningly unique. The small boat bobbed on the water, looking for a place to dock before dawn broke. The two brothers scanned the shore before honing in on a derelict cove shrouded in darkness. They couldn't be caught, they had travelled for too long to risk their cover being blown. As they moored up and stepped on to solid ground, they gazed up at the famous skyline before them; a sight they had only ever seen before in books and paintings. This would be their new home; a place where they could make their names known. The unsuspecting city had no idea what they were in for...

Lithuanian-based producer Pletnev returns to local label Le Temps Perdu for his second EP, following his 2017 debut with 'St. Bones'. His diverse productions have taken him to labels like SZE, Fleeting Wax, Meda Fury and Hard Fist, with sounds spanning percussive tools to EBM and leftfield cuts. His forthcoming EP, 'Voranto Bros', features blinding remixes from CockTail d'Amore bosses Discodromo and Biologic Records' Lion's Drums.

He took another step and felt a twig snap under his boot, a startled squirrel scampered away, ruffling the bushes he was walking past. He exhaled a sigh of relief and continued along the path, keeping a close eye on his footing. Daylight was approaching, and the forest he had been walking through was beginning to change shape as the twilight shone through the trees, casting soft shadows and laying down a gentle blue light that revealed more of the obscured path up ahead. The shower of bird song that came from the treetops soothed him as he moved carefully through the forest.

The newest release from French musician Hirschmann comes in the form of a self-released EP, Aux destins isolés. Written in the countryside at night, it captures the melancholy wanderings of the heart and mind. With this particular track, Grecian producer Anatolian Weapons reinterprets ‘Le Hasard de la Dance’. The extended remix amplifies the energy of the original version, introducing new rhythmic elements and a heavier low end, while still making space for the spoken vocals and pensive piano lines.
