Stochastic House was formed back in 1993 by  Randy, Allen, Dave,  John and Brian.  Allen Thomas played the Bass & piano.  He performed songs he and Randy wrote, as well as some of his own. Randy Robb played Guitar and bass and arranged and wrote many of the songs, as well as did lead vocals on some. Dave Vandyke, lead vocalist and guitarist, also took the lead on some songs that he wrote and arranged for the group.  John Lee played both electric and acoustic Guitar and did Lead Vocals work on his own songs. Brian Durance was the band’s drummer and percussion; he also was a backup vocalist. He made a lot of the props and lighting for the stage. He also headed up the graphic arts work for the promos and posters for the concert sets. Our manager, Mike Kaufman lined up many great venues for us.  He ran the behind the scenes audio announcing and lights. All of the members of band created a great eclectic sound, influenced by the 1990s era and many 1960s rock bands. I want to thank all the members of the band, our fans, community as well as their families, for contributing to Stochastic House Shows, and for making such great memories in those 7 years. Rock on. We also want to thank Bethel college, local Christian music festivals like Holy Rock USA and Hoi Piloi night club, The 100 Center,  Water Shed Studios, Peaberry’s café, The Daily Grind,  and other organizations that contributed to the fan base of Stochastic House . Thanks also goes out to the City Mishawaka and Southbend, as well as  Local radio and Tv Stations. Thank to all Michiana area, all the festivals venues and State parks of Indiana and the Great Lake Region that had us play as part in their events. Thanks. These are songs I've recorded since Stochastic house. I am looking forward to a get together with all Stochastic House Members this fall but plans are just being put in place.

Sometimes music is fun and tells a story. Then other times its just  a picture of a moment in time. And other times it a mixed, up, upside down dream. You decide what this song is to you. It might be an abstract blues song with a lot of thing happening at once in the shuffle behind the stage on a Saturday night between sets. It Is what it is. I like this song.

That Friday night in the coffee house I was hanging out with friends listening to a local blues band when Lue approach me and ask me for some money. After listening to his story of the hurricane back home. I really wanted to help. Lue explained that after getting himself caught up in a mess with local authorities he no longer could stay at the local shelter.  So of course we took up a collection and he went on his way.
The next week Lue was there again. This time my daughter helped him too.  After that I ran into him three or more times in the next couple weeks at different place in town; the grocery store, the Coffee place and the dollar store. Each time he was broke and needed help. I was almost broke too but prompted by my heart I was able to help each time.
Now you may think I’m foolish for giving money to Lue, buying groceries and a sandwich a cup of tea from the coffee shop. But the way I see it I'm only a few wrong decision from the same situation as Lue. It's the least I can do. So the next time you see a hopeless person. Help anyway. What's a dollar or two now and then if you can help your fellow man through a hard time and give him or her hope in the process? You might even be helping yourself.

Hay everyone I want to share with you one of my favorite  stories of being inspired to write a song. When my oldest daughter Rashel  was 6 years old we were living in a tiny apartment at bethel College , you know one of those married couple apartments that has a long hall and the kitchen is just inside the door entrance, and if you turn any direction you’re in the next room. Well I came home and step into this apartment one evening and there on the fridge was a simple drawing of a purple umbrella and a stick figure of my little girl with the biggest smile and underneath was written in Crayola  crane “ If I had a magic umbrella I would give it to you and you’d be happy too. You know Like heaven ." Here is the song that was inspired by that drawing. “Magic Umbrella” I hope you enjoy it from my heart to yours.

Also Film maker Ron Howard and George Lucas. I'm not perfect but when I took a closer look I realized the rain fall on us all. And though I walk through the valley of the shadow death i shall fear no evil. Life is worth fighting for and Love is worth giving to the wonders of this world. Love more and do not fear your enemies. Feed the hungry. Cloth the naked. help the widows and the orphans. Well done good and faithful servant is what i look forward to hearing on the day of redemption.  "Rain" Falls on us all.

Late in the 90's some college friend and I formed “Stochastic House”. As our card indicated Stochastic house will go “any where”. We went out and did shows at festivals, State Parks, Christian night clubs and the coffee scene. We are an alternative band and have multiple influences such as REM, The Who, The Doors and “The Beatles”.  In the early 1990s we open for Randy Stone Hill a well known Christian rocker. Feature on a local newspaper and TV as an up and coming band to watch we felt like we were on our way. It was great while it lasted but as time went on and the band members got older and we all went our separate ways. Today I am writing and recording in my own. About one year ago with my sons help we recorded Stochastic House Sifting Sand. The project was just recently mastered and is to be released this fall. The project was delayed till 2014 due to illness. Today I am truly born again back in September of 2012 I went through Cardiac arrest and should have died but I miraculously lived.  Just one day after the Hospital told my wife they were considering removing life support I awoke and baffled the medical professionals. After many test and rehabilitation I was released in good health.  God is good even through there are storms in this life.
The album “Stochastic House Sifting Sand” an album about hope verses hopelessness. How quickly we forget that at any moment a storm may blow in and we may begin to sink like a stone. It is not our religion or traditions that deliver us. It is when we find hope once again in Christ. As a recording artist my message is simple God love you and cares about your life even when we fall. Christ is the author and prefecture of our faith.
