Groundsound presents Dillinja, Benny L & Shimon

Charlie Milan Cummings, professionally known as Amalgamate, is a UK-based Drum & Bass producer hailing from the Welsh capital of Cardiff. 

As is suggested by the alias, his productions amalgamate an array of musical influences, all of which glue together to form a crisp, dynamic, and high-octane frenzy of 170BPM fuelled sounds. His debut EP, ‘Destroy Humans’, provides the perfect snapshot into this, with a melodic frenzy of synths, stabs, and succulent sound design, reesy manoeuvres, colourful percussive plucks, and blistering bass processing at the forefront of the project. 

As well as producing, Charlie is the founder of the D&B record label @breakbeatsandbasslines , which aims to bring a new dimension of fresh, high-octane, and idiosyncratic sounds to the genre. Also a freelance music journalist and MA student at Cardiff University, Amalgamate is dedicated to pursuing a life abundant with the music that he loves.
