The enormous qualitative output settled down in the release catalogues at some of the foremost labels in the electronic underground scene within 5 years, and is an evident hint that something great has grown. Alongside more than 10 contributions on the infamous Katermukke label, Martin placed an incomparable stamp with the Matchy & Bott releases on the imprints music. Lexer is a young man from the eastern part of Germany. It`s very tough to present his music in his home area. It´s a new style of deep and melancholic pop music and everyone is touched by his special way to produce and play this music. He is from a new generation of DJ´s who grow up with soundcloud, facebook and youtube. Alex aka Lexer is moving very fast and so it´s right to say: he is heading for a great future.

Quarantine has been giving me time to go through my archives and I came across this lengthy live mix from the Progressive Astronaut Event's Fifth Element in London late 2018. My set time was after Brian Cid, 4am until around 7am. 

Yes, this is labeled as a progressive house event but sometimes as DJs, we have to go rogue and read the crowd to see if they want to go up or down and make decisions on what and who is in front of us. I left the genres along the wayside as we were ready to go heavy and hard. If you have ever been out in a club in London in the middle of the night, you'll understand. 

With permission to share from Progressive Astronaut Events, we agreed that if you look at this mix as the journey it was, from the middle of the night into the early mornings, its intensity makes sense and for me, ha, it is legit the perfect example of music I love to play for my gigs. 

Hope you will enjoy this mix from a fantastic night in London.

Amber's passion for spinning is not limited just there; not only does she travel everywhere but also runs an independent label Modern Agenda - an independent label home to producers who are being championed for their work in Progressive House, Techno and Melodic Techno, primarily.  

Amber launched the LIA Series in 2021, a series of guest mixes highlighting up-and-coming female and female-representing artists from around the globe. Amber has also been hosting Frisky Radio's Rogue Radio Show since 2017 and has been involved with The Canadian Juno Awards for many years now.
