Early support from Super Flu, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Marc Poppcke, Oliver Weiter, Jos & Eli, Darin Epsilon, Roy Rosenfeld, Robert Babicz, Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Soul Button, BOg, Nick Warren, Jamie Stevens, Lonya Label bosses Javier Portilla & Sotela team up and deliver 'Don't Get Lost' on their fine Moonchild Records imprint. Lets kick off with the original, and its a brooding bubbling baselined gem, slowly meandering along as it builds, layered with tasty vocal effects as the vibe phaetons throughout. As we get to the drop, high strings and pads land creating tension, making this a solid dance floor gem. The first of the remixes comes from Cid Inc, who utilises the bassline to maximum effect, filtering the pattern, and adding techier beats and big chunky synthy bass like hits, which adds an extra top line in the drop before pouring back in to action! The Toffs deliver two mixes, first up is 'Toffts Remix', creating a groove, and subtly using the bassline, bringing it in and out, whilst the journey slowly unfurls... The second of their mixes is the'Tofts Club Mix', which strips things back to a minimal workout, plenty of trippy fx and snippets of vocal that meet rising and descending tones.

The 37th release on Cid Inc's Replug Records welcomes Michael, Levan, Stiven Rivic and Desaturate to the label for their first collaborative project. The trio of Michael, Levan and Stiven Rivic have firmly etched their place in progressive music history. As founders of both Kunai Records and Mistique Music the duo also boast a discography that includes releases on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat imprint. Meanwhile Janko Dragovic aka Desaturate, formerly one half of the long running Progress Inn duo, went solo a year ago with exceptional results. The Serbian artist's first ever EP enjoyed an extended stay in Beatport's Top 20 and a midyear appearance on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeats Volume 3 proved to be the icing on the cake. Now for Replug's 37th release we see Michael, Levan, Stiven and Desaturate presenting their first single together entitled 'Trauma', alongside remixes from Cid Inc and Orsen. 

The first interpretation of 'Trauma' is provided by Cid Inc. who is returning to his home imprint for the 22nd time.  2015 was a momentous year for the Swedish born producer. Beginning with ‘Guardian’ on Lost & Found Records and moving through a variety of top releases from a Sudbeat EP, to a gorgeous remix of Simos Tagias & Jorgio Kioris ‘Exist'. It was not only a landmark year in the studio but on the road as well, with an increasingly busy gig schedule capped off by an end of year tour in India / Indonesia. A renewed focus on running Replug has also further ignited Cid Inc's passion for writing cutting edge progressive techno. His interpretation of 'Trauma' reshapes the groove into something equally funky but much more menacing. It's acid tinged hooks and spacious roll back a framework of ominous motifs, before leading to a preliminary break of eerie pads. Reprocessed vocals along with radiant percussion only enhance the prophetic vibe, eventually leading to a final break of escalating tension, followed by a huge drop and waves of sonic decay. This one's big and expect to be hearing it a lot in the coming months.

As you may or may not know, Collective States (formerly Mongo) are very avid sci-fi fans (so much so it drives us f#*king mad to be honest)! So it’s our great pleasure (or pain depending on which side of the fence you sit on) to attach a cheeky nod to the forthcoming Blade Runner sequel. Taking influence from the 1982 original soundtrack, this track has been pricking up the ears of some of the early recipients including John Digweed (who has featured it on his Transitions show several times recently), Sasha, Kolsch and big High Tide Recordings label supporter, James Zabiela.  

It’s been a great summer for Collective States with both their “Krypton and “Planet Mongo” releases charting highly in Beatport whilst picking up support across the spectrum of dance music from the likes of Carl Cox, Hot Since 82, Joris Voorn, Deadmau5, Jamie Jones, Dubfire, Eats Everything, Sasha, John Digweed, Alan Fitzpatrick, Kaiserdisco and James Zabiela to name but a few. As Guy J’s exceptional Lost & Found imprint reaches the milestone 50 releases, they look back at 3 moments which have made the label so successful. Bristling with talent, the label has showcased the amazing Israeli progressive scene like no other. 

First up comes long time friends and collaborators, Sahar Z and Navar with their 2017 smash, When We Face Reality re-edited by an inspired Khen. Deep, soulful and utterly beguiling, the melodies soar in melancholy wonder. 

Khen is the next artist to get the remix treatment, this time from Belgian superstar Hermanez. Focusing on Khen’s incredible sound design, Hermanez builds a uniquely melodic groover from all manner of percussive sources. 

Finally, Luka Sambe’s Sooti, here gloriously reimagined by Eli Nissan. The most uptempo of the trio, Eli weaves a nuanced tail with sweeping sonics, deep pads and cleverly orchestrated toplines.

The 70th release on @perspectivesdigital features a typically high-profile EP by label head and internationally renowned DJ star, @darinepsilon, together with prolific German producer, blogger and journalist @marc-depulse.

(...) First joining forces on the "Penrose Lullaby EP" for Katermukke, the lead track "Anamorphosis" instantly made waves and was featured in Spotify’s Electronic Rising playlist.  The collaboration has been played over 150,000 times on the platform since March 2019.  Combining their creative talents once more, "Aerodyne" is an immaculately crafted offering that sparkles with its deep kick, layered clap, and bassline groove.  Building with ease, sumptuously textured pads swirl across the stereo spectrum and a central arpeggio motif provides a solid melodic anchor for the plethora of creative ideas.  Continuing in relentless fashion beyond the shimmering breakdown, the production quality epitomizes a 24-carat gem.

Already finding success in his DJ sets during last summer’s extensive tour through Latin American, "Sonoran" finds Darin Epsilon on brilliant solo production duties.  The track is full of the trademark production detail that has always set him apart from his peers.  A ticking and clicking percussive groove flutters around a metronomic kick while a perfectly programmed bassline adds swing and head-shaking character.  Melodic elements come courtesy of a rising arpeggio sequence and strong chord progression before a beautifully twinkling and emotive sequence appears during the stripped-back breakdown.  Going on to join forces with the vibrant rhythmic components of earlier phases, the result is a delicate and flawless track that is certain to find "Sonoran" a legion of fans.
