" IN DA OUD ", premier titre de l'EP originel du groupe Joy Squander est un petit bijou condensé de rythmes, qui sonnent comme la trame d’un générique de film d’aventures. L’ouverture de scène avec l'onomatopée « BANG ! away to Mars » nous annonce pas moins que la conquête de l’espace pour ce groupe audacieux qui n'hésite pas à tenter des mélanges sonores détonants. L’instrument traditionnel berbère, le oud, s’invite dans l’univers du hip-hop. Le titre lui-même est un clin d’œil à cette association. Joy Squander nous fait voyager au travers de cérémonies tribales, de conduites exaltées à la K2000, le tout orchestré à coups d’uppercuts, d’interrogations de scratchs et de rythmes endiablés. 

Qu’on se le dise, " IN DA OUD " va enflammer vos pistes jusqu'au Big " BANG ! " final.

" IN DA OUD ", first title of the original EP of Joy Squander is a real treasure made of condensed rhythms which sound like the soundtrack of an adventure movie. The onomatopoeic « BANG ! away to Mars » tells us about nothing more than the conquest of the Space by this audacious group, who isn’t afraid about creating explosive sound mix. The oud, ancient Berber instrument, invites itself in the hip-hop universe and the title is a wink to this twinning. 
Joy Squander makes us travelling through tribal ceremonies, crazy sequences, like in K2000, and everything is accompanied by uppercuts, interrogations, scratches and hellish rhythms.

Be ready, “ IN DA OUD ” is going to set fire on your dance floor till the final Big “BANG” !

Tales of Another Direction is a compilation of tracks gathered from our favourite beatmakers. The jazzy-cinematic theme is present throughout the whole project, each artist adding his very unique atmosphere. From the jazzy and acoustic vibe of Savages to Kognitif’s abstract beats as well as the powerful snares of Al’Tarba and the typical jazz breaks of Hugo Kant, you will recognize the influence of many genres. Dusty samples and heavy breaks are common elements on the production method used by these talented artists from the downtempo/abstract trip-hop scene. A project with a very symbolic meaning to our label.
